This kind of spot comes up pretty often and often I don't know what to do: I 3bet bluff with a somewhat trashy hand, hit something but get put to the test and have to make a decision for all my chips. It seems like more often than not this is a hand that has me beat but can I really fold? Villain was opening 73%, folded to 2 out of 2 of my 3bets so far (21 hands). Seemed reasonable at first sight but generally unknown. His range is pretty strong (like, at least a pair + gutshot, if he even raises that) but on the other hand, I have TP with pretty shallow stacks on a drawy board.Perhaps better to fold pre? Well, since he doesn't call 3bets "light", you can assume that most of his 3bet flatting range are broadways. So lets say KQ, KJ, KT, QJ, QT, JT. I think he would 4b/jam AT+ most of the time. So as you see from his possible range, you are only ahead of KT, JT, and you are coinflipping against KJ. And out of these 3 hands, he will most likely flat/fold KT, JT, and raise with KJ plus all other Qx that is ahead of you.
ok so we're 21 hands in, so his tendencies are hardly concrete. Folding here to me would be in my opinion a big mistake. We will not be ahead that often, but I think getting it in is the only play.
Id fold this, I dont see him raising much worse for value or bluffing here, this is just pretty damn strong in general
