Hi everyone,I guess the title sums up pretty well what I want to talk about here.But first, I'd like to introduce myself quickly. I joined the site almost a month ago (started playing HUSNG 2 months ago), and I must say that I really enjoy the videos and articles that are proposed here. It's really high quality content. So, thanks to all the coaches and other people involved. That's a really good job!I play small stakes (2 euros) in France, almost jumped to the 5 euros when suddenly "the bad run". I guess that's why I decided to start contributing to the forum, because I don't know if this is just variance or my game being totally "out of tune". I try really hard to work on my game, reviewing sessions..., and watching strategy videos. However I never really contributed to forums. Until now! so I guess you'll hear more from me in the future. Well, now the first subject I am interested about : When is a delayed cbet better than a cbet ? And against what kind of opponent ?That's something I've been thinking about and wanted to know if I'm not using it in the wrong spots (or even just using it in a totally wrong way), and how you guys use it. In my case, I find it useful against the most agressive and/or loose players.For example, let's say the I raise preflop, in position, and the flop comes dry like J72 rainbow, and I totally miss.Against a tight passive opponent, I will just fire a cbet here.However, against an agressive player (TAG or LAG), this is a good board for him to play back at me. In first approximation, I will still just cbet, but after a couple hands, if I notice that he's not willing to give up that kind of spots easily (floating or check raising), then I feel a little anxious and I prefer checking back, and firing the turn instead. Obviously the problem is that he can donk the turn before I have the chance to bet. But I noticed that when they miss, agressive opponents seems to be willing to give up the pot a lot more on the turn than on a dry flop, where "everybody" knows that's it is a very good cbet spot for me. I will usually fire a barrel on almost any card on the turn, but I don't know if that is okay. should I just restrain to A, K, Q ?For very loose passive players, I use it if I totally miss the flop and don't have showdown value, i.e. don't have an ace or a K. Instead of cbetting, and having to fire a second and sometimes third barrel, when I'm pretty weak, I prefer checking back, and firing most turns (cards that I can represent, or any card if my opponent is very bad). In that case, I will fire turn + almost 100% river, since it's still pretty hard to get these players out of the hand. Still I don't know if it's a good idea to fire ~100% of the rivers. should I make it a bit less ? I guess that's what I had to say. I would really like to have your opinions on this point, members and coaches.
