Chadders is working on a special design with notecaddy plus (Nilay runs that) that should make notecaddy significantly better to use for HUSNGs. It's not quite out yet, but it should be announced in the 2p2 thread when it is.Here's the 2p2 thread http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/164/cash-game-poker-coach-listings/not...
Do most guys use their tracker to take notes or the client? I was using BCP's notes feature and was shocked to find myself running into its character limit. I don't understand why they limit note sizes but it's very frustrating and I hope HEM or PT don't have these arbitrary restrictions.
I think most people use the client notes to take notes.I've come full circle on note taking though. I think notes should be few and far between, it takes too much time and focus away from the game for far too little benefit often, and any notes in the first few minutes of the match are often wasteful/no real value long term (I've been guilty of this in the past too).Notecaddy is different though. Notecaddy (at least the advanced version that they are working with Chadders on for HUSNGs) basically is a set of custom stat definitions that really allow you to pinpoint leaks in your opponent's tendencies. For example, a custom definition might be that a double barrel % of 40% is really high (and it can be modified so that if the opponent is a very tight open raiser preflop or a very loose one that the stat adjusts to his prior tendencies). And there are also sample sizes taken into account, so you're not getting useless 5 hand sample data constantly in your face.Add it all up, and it should end up being quite an in depth tool to utilize for heavy and high stakes grinders in particular.
I use notecaddy. it's very good but setting it up takes quite a while. You can get much more info than with just the HUD.What I have got is pretty basic : 3 preflop IP notes (what villain 3x with, limp /call with or limp/reraise with), 3 preflop OOP (what he 3 bets not AI, his flatting range, what he raises limp with), 7 flop notes (what he calls cbets with, donks with, check behind with, Xraise AI and not AI with), 2 turn notes (second barrels range). All of these are for eff stack 13-25. I also have a few end game notes (flat ing range shallow, min raise shallow, limp call shallow) and another note that record everytime villain openshoves from the sb what he does it with and at what eff stack.I can't wait till these guys have finished working on a good HUSNG NC package
