Hey there fellow HUSNGers, just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself since I got signed up,seems the proper thing to do since i plan on engaging any and all of you on various subjects in the future.Like many US poker players my game got completely shut down on black friday.I was fortunate enough to have withdrawn a majority of my roll on FTP only weeks before black friday.I am an avid fan of HU poker (im an action junkie) for me its the nuts,I have tried all the other formats, full ring,6max but for me anything but HU is a totall snooze.I built my roll on FTP from a mere $17 to $2500 (alot due in part to coaching from MJW006,i hope he still coaches here and posts vids, for those of you wondering he is an amazing coach and worth every penny IMO,he has a very friendly, open yet brutally honest coaching style which worked wonders for me)I was a reg at the $20-$30 HUSNGs on FTP for a while.and only flirted with the $50s till financial circumstances forced me to take out most of my roll.I have a very solid poker foundation on which to build, but obviously there is tons of room for growth and improvement, not to mention not playing for over a year has left me with a decent amount of rust.I recently got back into online poker when i found out it was relatively easy to deposit money on carbon poker, and although nowhere near the traffic of FTP and stars at their peak it seemed one of the busier rooms available to me that had decent reviews. To be honest however I was very leary about depositing too much given the current state of online poker in the USA.I am working with a $200 roll atm and am playing $4-$8 HU sngs,I take the action when and where I can find it,and I have no problem moving down in limits when things dont go quite according to plan.I try to stick to reg speed and turbos, not a huge fan of super or hyper turbos,I believe that at my current limits I have a very signifigant edge when playing 50-75bb deep though I do have a solid short stack/end game.i simply find that the super and hyper turbos dont always allow my edge enough time to manifest and for me the variance in these games is much higher (im sure many ,might disagree however). GL at the tables my friends,i am very much looking forward to growing both my poker game and my bankroll with all of you. If there is anything i can do to help anyone just PM me. Chadalicious
Welcome to the forum and welcome back to HU SNGs. As far as the 'I do not want to deposit too much' issue concerns: basically it does not matter where your BR is. Unless cashing in does take a very long time, you could have $200 on your pokersite and $1800 on moneybookers and would still be enrolled with $2000
Hi.
cool beans,i dont mind building the roll back up from a small deposit though. In the process i should be able to knock of alot the rust that has accumulated and make some major improvements to my game.
Small deposit strategy is smart, best of luck to you and welcome.
