I play super turbos. Started from 1.5 - 3.5 buy-ins and playing 7s now. Below is my winning graph. Can't understand why my All-In EV line is under Winnings line, Am I just lucky so far or it's normal?CAN'T INSERT A PICTURE -> this is link: http://postimage.org/image/sli1pfkqr/
While you are beating the limits (both Winnings line and All-In EV line are in the winning zone), you seem to be lucky in certain situation. It could be that you just win too much ALL-ins where you are ahead. Imageing that you ship your AA preflop and get called by hand that you are 80 : 20 favorit. Now, you either win the pot and get 100% of the chips in the middle or you lose and get none of the chips that are in the middle. Either way; you never get 80% of the chips when you win and you never lose 20% of the chips when you lose. The All-in-EV graph does calculate what you would be entitled to earn. It does NOT tell you if you play good or bad. You can have a terrible all-in-ev graph, simply because you pushed KK 10 times into AA when being 6BB short. That does not mean that the play was bad and also, it should be balanced over a huge sample size. Bottom line: if you want to know if you have drastic leaks; get help from a coach and not from a graph.
Hi.
Hi there. Now I'm playing sng's with 15$ buy-in. Here is my updated graph http://postimage.org/image/6f0teyxv9/Still can't get it. Am I just lucky or its possible to play with red line under the green one all the time?tnx
you're lucky, being above/below allinEV is pure luck. And yeah it's possible being under whole time. I would know, my green line is way below my red line and over ~20k games :P just enjoy it and be happy. Don't let it get to you in any way like "oh now im due for a downswing". But at the same time realize that you're not as solid as you think you are and you should still study and work to improve because a good part of your profits have come from pure luck ;)
got it, thanks dude. Will see what happens after another ~1.5K hands.
