Hi. I was wondering how to calculate what equity I need when I raise and get reshoved.Example : 6,85 + 0,15 $ Hyperturbo heads upButton - Hero : 500 chipsSmall Blind- Villain: 500 chips Blinds are 20, 40Hero raises to 80, Villain raises to 500 and is all-in.So now there is 580 chips in the middle and I have to call 420. So what I have to do is just devide the 420 that I have to call by the total amount in the pot? 420/1000= 0,42 So I need 42% equity to call? If this is correct, than how do I include rake in my calculations? Because 42% is the equity when I am break even, and since I pay the rake, I would be still loosing. Thankss
The pricepool being $13.70 (6.85 x 2) and the total chips being 1000, each chip is worth $13.70 / 1000 = 0.0137$. Whenever you leave out a spot that gains you chips on average, you are surrendering money. What you are talking about (at the end of your post) is that you need an in the money quote >50% in order to make profit.
Hi.
I know it has to be higher than 50 %. I wanted to know how to calculate the percentage at which a move is going to be truly break even (including rake)
Seems kinda irrelevant to me, since you have paid the rake all ready. Anyways it is impossible to answer this question without knowing the costs of the effective rake (rake ./. rake back) you are paying. Those kind of calculations IMO are much more relevant in Cash Game were you pay rake / hand and not rake / game.
