Playing poker since black friday on and off but really starting to work on my game.
Just a quick question which should i study and play because my goal in the future is to play HU cash when im rolled for 50nl..
Does anyone think this is a good idea?
Or should i stick to HUSNG and try to be the best?
I would stick to HUSNG because it's easier for good players to get action as the move up.
That said, we see guys like Barewire/krab42, and they dominate HU Cash and have for the last few years still.
As for hypers vs turbos, hypers have a lot more action in them and a higher % of fish, so I would play those. If you find you don't love them, starting in turbos isn't a problem (or for a change of pace), there's still fine action at lower levels in turbos (and sometimes higher depending on the site you play).
But look at starting with hypers if at all possible, it's more profitable for most winners that put in the time.

when i watch vids on hyper turbos i dont really have a clue tbh... i would love to have a poker mind like they do but i suppose that will come with practice.. the way the coaches can talk and explain what they do and why they do it in every situation is something that amazes me! must of taking a long time to be able to speak about each hand like that well done!!

Non USA, no choice other than Stars for hypers makes sense right now.
USA, low stakes, Winning Network (Black Chip, America's Room) makes the most sense. Super fast cashouts via cards, very soft games led by sportsbook heavy playerbases, decent enough software, it makes good sense.
For mid stakes, Merge is OK enough. Best US software and decent soft traffic.
The only other option is Lock or Juicy Stakes (Cake), but both take a century to pay their US facing players, and the software is terrible. They have the most players though, but that's only a major factor if you play higher stakes. I'd honestly move out of the country or VPN before I played here, but that's my personal opinion. Plenty disagree with me, or at least their actions do.

Mersenneary's book is great. Also check out the free poker videos forum here on the site. Don't skip the two sticky threads, they link to a lot of free clips and vids from really good hyper videos.
Once you build up a bankroll, start with the standard pack. At $50, it gives you tons of hyper content (Coffeeyay, Chadders0, Cog Dissonance and more). From there, multiple options exist (Chadders Pack is more of a complete guide, Premium Pack has tons of top notch hyper vids by many top authors... we'll have a Hyper Masters Pack soon for around the same price).
