Good sample size for winrates?

What kind of sample size at a given stake can give you a true winrate?

this is for hypers.

i've won 52% of my games at 1.50's but i feel i should be doing better here, this is only around 1k sample.

Any tips about playstyle at 1.50's? i think trapping as been the most succesfull for me at this limit, but i feel im missing tons of spots

any advice always welcome :-)

You might be missing out on

You might be missing out on too much value if you find that trapping works best. These games play fast, so if you're waiting 5-10 hands for a good hand or missing a street or two of value 3-4x for every time you get them to stack off on the slowplay, you might actually be hurting your winrate by doing that. It's really hard to say in a general way though.
This is a good article about the type of confidence you should have in results over a certain sample size - http://www.husng.com/content/given-my-results-what-should-my-confidence-...
Suckouts might feel like they happen more often in HUSNGs, bc in hypers especially you see way more boards, showdowns and all ins per hour than in any other format of poker. However, it works both ways (you'll also be sucking out more on other people too).

Thanks for that rypac. Im

Thanks for that rypac.
Im usually %100 button raising unless hes short stacked and will just come over the top. Its mainly post flop that i try and trap, but i suppose its all situational.
good point about the suckouts sometimes i need to remind myself that if hes got a %20 chance of hitting 1 in 5 times im stacked, which i guess on a bad day you could lose all of your flips . Its just when it happens when you play so well so frustrating lol.
Poker is a strange beast, humans are programmed to get rewarded for there effort but i suppose the key to getting round this is thinking long term.
I feel better now :D funny how just writing about your thoughts puts things back in perspective
