Ryzant's 2014 HTHU journey

Sup guys.

I've always been interested in poker and have always aspired to be good at it.  but so far I havent been able to even beat the micros.  I just can't seem to break through a low ceiling in my learning.  Coming from a small island in the middle of the ocean, there aren't really anyone I can talk poker with  and my introvertedness prevents from posting and interacting on forums and such.  Plus I dont really know what questions to ask or how to even ask them.  So I figure I'd give writing these blog type posts a shot. I honestly dont know where to start or how to go about in doing these.  But hopefully by doing these posts  I can get input on how to improve and eventually become a winner in these games.

So here is a little about me. I'm in my mid-20s living in a US territory.  This means I can only play in US facing sites.  I've been playing online for a a while but I have not put any time on playing since Black Friday.  I've got a full time day job.  This leaves me only a couple of hours to play in the evenings.  I've tried playing 9-man and 6-man STTs. as well as full ring and 6max cash games.  This time im thinking about giving Hyper Turbo HU as shot. Hence me writing a blog on this site in particular.

My goal for 2014 is to be able to play competently and beat at least the $36 buy-in HTHU SNGs at WPN.  Currently I only have about $400 in BR and am playing the $6 buy-ins.  Because I can only put a couple of hours each night to play and I only 1 table,  I will probably only be able to put a small amount of volume each day.  I've only managed to play about 250 games in the past 3 weeks.  Despite those problems and hopefully you fellow players' help,  I would be able to improve and attain my goal before the year is over.

Wish me luck!

Thanks for reading!

(side note: I wanted to put my "graph of the year so far" but I don't know how to go about in doing that.  I have watched the video on how to add a picture and video from the sticky.  But when I click on the image icon, there isnt a "browse server" button.  How to add images please?)

Sup peeps, Here is graph

Sup peeps,

Here is graph update for my sessions from the last couple of days.

Well, started of with a 6 game losing streak. and if i combine it with the session before i started positing, it would be a combined 9 game losing streak.  I guess my luck streak is over. I know its just a very small amount of games but its all the games i can put with the little amount of time I have. Also, is it just me or is it frustrating when you lose and the guy doesnt rematch you?  I guess that is just part of the game.

On another note, Im not sure about how to study for hypers.  What am I supposed to do? I can look at my hand histories but I dont know what exactly I'm supposed to look for.

Also, I've just discovered that there is a Free Poker Videos Forum.  I guess I'll watch some videos from there.  It should help get an idea of what I should be thinking when making decisions.

That's all I've got for now.

Wish me luck!

Thanks for reading!

Good luck on your move on up

Good luck on your move on up to your goals.

I like WPN, it's a solid US facing network. Do let me know what videos/coaches you enjoy in the free poker videos forum.

Good luck on your venture

Good luck on your venture Ryzant!

try also to put your 'cnet adjusted' in the graph as it will be a more accurate estimate of how yo uare 'really' doing ;)

I wish you all the best and loosing streaks are just a part of the fast paced Hyper game ;)
but muckily, ... so are winning ones ;)

keep up watching vid's and reviewing hands and stuff and you will make great progress!

Sup peeps, First of all thank

Sup peeps,

First of all thank you RyPac13 and duvel666 for the good luck wishes.  I know I'll need it.  Especially after adding the cnet adjusted on my graph. It just showed me that I have been very very lucky this month.

I guess I'll start with my graph for this sunday grind.

First time i played Sunday afternoon my time (equivalent would probably be 1:30am EST Sunday).  I was able to put about 3-4x the volume i would regularly put in.  I hardly had to wait for a game. The moment I sat, someone would sit me as well. It was quite enjoyable not having to wait for a match.  I usually would play at around 6:30 am EST - 8:30 EST and during these no one usually plays.  I'd have to wait several minutes before someone plays with me.  Unfortunately or fortunately, I'll have to wait until next week to be able to play at that time again because of my job.

What I realized during this particular session is that I dont know how to deal with players that just limp and flat all the time. I was challenging a player with that style and just didnt know how to deal with it.   I'm not sure how to adjust to it. Should I just raise bigger with broadways and pairs, and limp/check with connecting type hands pf? After I net dropped a few buy ins against the player, I just declined the rematch. Luckily for me I managed to get lucky wins against several players afterwards to even out for the day.

@RyPac13 I'll let you know when which ones I enjoy after I start watching a few videos.  I'll probably spend some time this week to watch some videos instead of playing just so I can get a better understanding of the game.

That's all I've got for now

Wish me luck!

Sup peeps! So here is my

Sup peeps!

So here is my graph for my last couple of sessions.

This is 2 sessions worth of games.  I played the 1st 10 games on Monday.  I couldnt play on Tuesday because I kept getting unregistered.  I think it was due to the a scheduled update.  The rest of the games I just finished today.  My sessions felt like complete opposites of each other.  On Monday, I just kept hitting flops.  Today on the other hand, I felt that  I couldn't do anything right.  I pretty much lost whenever we go all in.  I managed to win against a player to minimize my loss.  I want to review but that session but I'm not really sure how.  If anyone point me in the right direction on how I'm supposed to do review sessions, that would be great.  I should really start watching the free videos.  This session just made me feel the need to improve.  I'm not sure if I'll ever reach my goal if I keep having losing sessions and not improving.

Just a random thought.  This is probably just a fraction of a session for you regular folks.

Thanks all for now!

Wish me luck!

hi good luck mate. you are on

hi good luck mate.

you are on the right site here if you are looking to improve.

there are loads of great free vids on here. Pbogz has a great seriesin the free vids forum, including some on post game review.

rypacs vids are exellent, he goes deeeeeeppp into things and he can take you step by step into some pretty advanced concepts that you might not otherwise have thought about or felt able to grasp.

ph33rox's leak finder series is the nuts. his and zztilts + ph500's free vids are pretty advanced but they explain things so well.

and all of coffeeyays free vids are filled with great advice for intermediate players.

------------------------------

dont worry too much about losing sessions, in hypers they will happen. just worry if you have been spewing, getting run over or feel like you're not playing your A game. concentrate on making correct decisions and volume will take care of the rest in regard to ironing out variance.

get to grips with ICMIZER. you get 3 free calculations and you can review your ranges v population tendencies, again i'm sure pbogz has a free video that cover ICMIZER and how to use it to review sessions.

good luck

Review Sesh.

I know the problem of not knowing where to start, but you'll find it's actually no so difficult.

Ive learnt a lot from just pulling up yesterday's matches in PT4 and reviewing my plays before I start the new days session.

This way not only do you see the glaring holes in your thinking but you also get into the 'thinking' mode of playing before you start your daily grind.

A double bonus :-)

GL.

Go forth and CRUSH !

Sup peeps, Here is my graph

Sup peeps,

Here is my graph for the last 4 days.

I think this has been my best sessions so far since starting this. I even had a win streak of about 6 games, which was a first for me. Another first was that I played a player for almost 40 games straight.  I'm most certain that I lost concentration and started to play bad.  In the end I net lost 3 games.  I felt that the player was definitely better than me so I guess losing 3 in the end is not bad.

I'm thinking I should take a few days away from the table.  I'll do what has been suggested and watch a few videos, look at my hand histories, and try ICMIZER.  Hopefully I with that I can do way better next weekend.

That's all for now!

Wish me luck!

February Update. Next month goal: play 4 days per week

Sup peeps,

I hardly got to play at all this week.  Work really took a lot out of me this week so I went to sleep as soon as I got home.  There was also hardly any players that wanted to play when I was on for a couple of days.  I had to wait close to 20 minutes for someone to play.  So here is my graph for the week.

Only 11 games for the week.  I'll do better next week.

AND here is my graph of the month (plus last week of January since that was when I started).

I'm not sure how to feel about it.  I feel great that I was positive for the month.  I had fun playing the HU Hypers.  I watched a few of the free videos and I feel that I was a bit better than when I started.  On the other hand, the C Net adjusted line is trending the negative direction.   Makes me think I got hella lucky this month.  But I guess I'll try to keep on the positive side and say this was a great month pokerwise for me.

I'm disappointed that I didnt really put a lot of volume this month.  I want to make a volume goal but I feel that I would subconsciously just try to achieve that number and not be as motivated afterwards.  I'll just challenge my self to play more this month.  I'll try to play a minimum of 4 days per week during the month of march.  That way the volume will come naturally and I dont have to count the number of games I play  per month.

That's all for now!

Wish me luck!

Thanks for reading!

Sup peeps,   I had a 3 day

Sup peeps,

I had a 3 day weekend so here is my graph for the 3 days.  I didnt have internet on Sunday so this is technically 2 days worth of games.

I was pretty break even for the first day.  On the 2nd day was also about even until the end.  I managed to win 7 in a row.  That was pretty crazy for me.  Any ways I hope I continue winning.  I also watched coffeeyay's math series.  It was very insightful.  I definitely have to rewatch the whole series so I can start to incorporate the math I will learn from there to my games.

That's it for now!

Wish me luck!

Sup peeps,   So I tried to

Sup peeps,

So I tried to play a session today.  I had to wait 30 minutes to before I played with someone.  After a couple of games, the player quit.  I waited another 30 minutes before calling it a night.  This is the problem I've been having since there is about a 15 hour time difference.  My evening is the early morning for the US.  So there are hardly any players online.  Hopefully there will be more players tomorrow.

Ryzant's picture
Sup peeps,   Today, I played

Sup peeps,

Today, I played my worse so far.  pretty much went on tilt the last games.  pretty horrible session.  still pretty frustrated right now as I type this.  Just as I managed to break even for the day, I end up losing 6 games in a row to the same person.  I played so horrible.  Anyways, here is my graph which includes the 2 games from yesterday.

Im honestly quite disappointed at myself for tilting.  I guess I'll take a shower and sleep it off.  I'll just choose to be glad that I at least got to play some games today.

That's it for now!

Wish me luck!

Sup peeps, Good news: got to

Sup peeps,

Good news: got to play lots of games

Bad news: Turns out I suck.

I guess my results would have been similar to this last month had I ran closer the the EV adjusted line instead of getting so lucky.  So there is clearly something wrong with my game.   So the good news is that I'm aware I have a huge hole in my game.  Bad news is that I dont really know how to fix it.  I guess i'll watch more videos to figure out how to do it and to figure out what I should be thinking while I play.

Wish me luck!

Hey Ryzant, don't let a bad

Hey Ryzant, don't let a bad session demotivate you!

There are so many luck related factors that are not contemplated by the EV adjusted line, that I wouldn't give it so much credit. For example: villains waking up with AA when you have KK, etc; villains calling all streets with wrong odds and hitting the river...

Maybe you should focus on improving your game, since you know you have a huge hole in it. Don't focus as much on volume. You can spend something like 60% of your poker time studying and 40% playing. I know playing is a lot more fun than studying, but if you don't study in order to fix your flaws, you will never be a winning player.

Best of luck at the tables!

Sup peeps, So I didn't play

Sup peeps,

So I didn't play at all since my last post.  Work was really draining so I didnt play and also took a couple of days off to recoup mentally.  So here is my graph for the first 9 days of March.

I guess I didn't do too horribly until the last two sessions.  I'll spend time this week to watch the games I played last week to see what I did wrong.  Since if feel I'm mentally removed from those sessions now, I could proably watch myself in an objective way.  I'll try to find some leak in my game and maybe even find some tendencies of the players I played.

Also thank you mrbeast87 for the words of encouragement.  I'll do your suggestion and try to study 60% of the time and play 40% of the time, especially since I'm just learning.

That's all for now!

Wish me luck!

Thank you for reading!

If you really have got a huge

If you really have got a huge leak, but have no idea how to fix it, you need to fix it before you play again. It will not disappear, unless you put in the time to fix it.

Hi.

Ryzant's picture
Sup peeps,   How have you all

Sup peeps,

How have you all been doing?  I havent played much since last week.  I had a really tough work week so I only played 1 game last week.  I also took the first steps on fixing my problems.  I watched most of my games from my recent sessions.  What I noticed was that I was calling with weak Aces, Kings, and Queens quite often.  So I decided to call less with those and try to observe my opponents a bit more while I play.  So here is my graph for today.

So I didnt do so well today.  Still a continued losing session. I dont feel too bad about it.  I know a made a few bad plays.  I didnt realize that an opponent 3bets not all in only with value hands.  So I paid that opponent of a couple of games before i realized it.  I'll try to keep improving and try think about my decisions while playing.

Thats all for now!

Wish me luck!

Sup peeps, Here is the graph

Sup peeps,

Here is the graph of my sessions since my last post.

So pretty much broke even for the rest of the week.  What I've started to do is think out loud.  This way I'm always doing an action with a reason and prevent myself from mindlessly pushing buttons.

These sessions I've played a few players that limp a lot.  It made me wonder what hands should I be limping with.  Before playing HUSNG I played the cash games.  Most of the materials I read told me not to open limp.  So when I started playing HU hypers, I didnt really limp.  I either bet or fold pf.  So my question is: What hands should I be limping in the SB?

That's all for now!

Wish me luck!

Thanks for reading!

Mayo's picture
In my opinion you should ask

In my opinion you should ask yourself why you would want to limp? If Villain folds to every openraise there's no reason to limp right? Now, if Villain reraises to every openraise you make, I would limp much more middling hands that flop well and are strong enough to call a raise if he raises your limps often. If he doesn't defend to limps and plays weak postflop, then I would limp/stab much. You have to think about how your opponent plays and ask yourself why he is playing the way he is playing. Just because somebody says to not open limp much, it doesn't mean that this is always right.

Wish you the best of luck!

Ryzant's picture
Thats a good question to ask

Thats a good question to ask myself. and you do bring up great points.  I guess the reason why I asked is because I have faced opponents that call a lot of my open raises.  I just wondered if I should limp some hands versus these opponents.  Like should I be limping suited connectors or off suit gapped cards? because I feel like I could still raise with suited connector type cards but what do i do about off suit 2-3 gap cards?  Idk if i should open fold them or just limp.  I guess that may depend of opponent's post flop tendencies right?

Also sorry for the incoherent-ness of that previous paragraph.  I'm just a bit unsure of how to express what I want to say.

Mayo's picture
You answered the question

You answered the question pretty much yourself :-). It depends on the opponents tendencies. Just try out things and keep an eye on how your opponent does react.

I understood your prevoius paragraph pretty well - I think. So no worrys buddy :-)

Good luck!

Ryzant's picture
Sup peeps. This post will

Sup peeps.

This post will have have my week update and March update.

So here is my week's update.

I played several sessions.  I felt happy with most of it except my last one.  I pretty much lost all my profits due to my poor play.  I was too aggressive and played an opponent that just knew how to play against me and I failed to adjust and just kept spewing.  Pretty much the last 1/3 of the graph was my final session. and I just played really aweful.  No excuses.

Now for my March graph

Here we go.  I actually started off with a great weekend and was up about $60.  Then had a series of bad sessions, which included a tilt session brought me to my lowest point.  Then I decided to look at my game and be more attentive to my opponents.  I still had losing sessions but felt better about it.  I almost broke even on the final week of March but I guess i went back to my old ways and made horrible plays and reads and tilt on my final session destroyed and hopes of breaking even.

Earlier this month I made a goal of playing at least 4 days a week.  I obviously failed that. I only played 14 days of 31 days( I'm taking tomorrow off to shake off this horrible session).  Aside from work, I played less due to my downswing.  I looked at my game and watched a few more videos. This month I started with a high and ended with a low.  Hopefully I can do better in April.  I really want to get out of $6 and begin to play $12 soon.

Thanks for reading.

Any bad plays in particular

Any bad plays in particular that you wanna mention?

Have you learnd from your mistakes?

Hi.

Ryzant's picture
Ya. I played really bad on

Ya. I played really bad on the final session.  I had a read on a player that he check/ shoves 2nd pair on the flop and I paid off a few times despite having that read only because I thought he couldnt be doing it all the time... but it turns out he does.  Other times I either played scared or dumb.

Here is a couple of hands that I believe I played really bad.  The player I was playing played straight forward.  Bets and calls when he has something, otherwise its just a check or fold.

Hand #1

Preflop. I was short stacked, Im not sure if I should have shoved so I just checked.

On the turn, i guess I could have bet since he checked the flop but decided not to because I would be afraid if he raised and not sure what to do on the river if i miss.

On the river, I just bet 1 BB hoping he would call since it seems that he didnt have anything since he check flop and turn.  but when he minraised i thought he could have the flush since he only bets or raises when he has something. So I just called. but looking back at it, I felt that I should have reraised.

Hand #2

On this hand. on the turn I checked because of my read.  since he called I expected him to have something on the flop. like a Tx or 7X. On the river when he lead, I thought he was probably bluffing the A. So I shoved since I just made top pair.  In hindsight, I probably should have just called because what worse would have called a shove.

I still have to look at the session to try to see what else I was doing wrong.  For now what I picked up is that I should just try to take my time when playing my hands.  Really try to think of what the opponent may have and try to figure out what I need to do.  I'll use my time bank if i need to.

(also I was trying to do the hand converter. I followed the instructions the cdon posted.  but it failed.  it said me and the other played called, bet, raised, called $0. hand hihstory missing button information.  The player and I had missing stack. No winner found. Failed to determine date played. using current time. failed to find results.  So i just made the hand history into an image)

Ryzant's picture
Sup guys,It's been a bit.

Sup guys,

It's been a bit.  Well my first week of April was pretty bad. I got pretty owned.

yea. lost a lot last week.  And that loss week lead to:

I finally dropped below my starting bankroll.

So I reflected to figure out what was going wrong.

1) Lack of focus.

During the my sessions, I usually have something on the background. Like watching streams.  I usually have it on while waiting in between games.  A solution would be to turn off during matches or try to do other poker related things between games so that way my mind is on poker.

I also usually play tired but there is not much I can really do about it.  Since I work a full time job during the day, I have no choice to play during the evenings around 9 pm - midnight my time.  On Saturday, I have social obligations to fulfill during the day so I can only play at night.  The only time I can play during the day and not tired is on Sundays.

Furthermore I have a potential life changing decision to make that is causing me overall stress.  So ya I gotta tune that out somehow.

2) lack of fundamentals

So I've watched several videos, including Coffeeyay's standard math video. But I haven't done the calculations in game to see if I'm making a correct bluff or check/raising correctly.

I've looked at my hand histories but havent really done much with it.  I've managed to pick up a few tendency's of opponents but thats about it.

I think a real problem with regards to this is I do not know how to study for poker.  I'm not sure what I should be doing outside of the tables.  And I know out of table work is essential  to getting better in this game.

Right now, I'm not going to play a single hand of poker until I finish and understand Mersenneary's ebook.

Then I'm probably going to go for coaching.  I've never had a poker coach before and Im actually only 60-80% leaning towards coaching because  I know this will accelerate my learning.  I do have several issues to consider.  For example, would it be worth it for me since I play at WPN and I put such a low amount of volume.  There is also the time difference between me and the potential coach. I dont konw. But i feel that getting a coach is something  to help me get on the right track.

Thoughts?

Mayo's picture
I wouldn't recommend watching

I wouldn't recommend watching videos while playing mate. Just focus on the game and on your decisions. Take your time for those and ask yourself what the best option in this particular spot could be. It will really improve your game if you haven't done so in the past. You want to move up and be a better player right? Or do you want to grind on your current stake forever?

Playing tired is also bad because u are not able to put all your energy in the game. I would recommend to take a small break after your work and before getting to the tables and just relax to get your mind right if you have no other choice.

Also I would recommend you to not get too much information at once. Find one leak of yours, concentrate to not do it anymore until you don't even have to think about it. Learn a little bit of new information by the time you erased almost all your leaks and try to put that new information in your game and again, concentrate on that new information until it is in your blood :).

A coach is great too! He can spot leaks that you didn't even know have been leaks. He can make you think of things from a different view and also get your game to the next level but you have to choose the right coach for YOU. Not everybody has the same learning style and not every teacher teaches in the same style.

Wish you best of luck buddy!

Ryzant's picture
Thanks for the advice

Thanks for the advice Mayo.

What I've decided to try in the future is to look at my previous games between matches.  That way I can spot what I may have done wrong or right in the previous match while waiting for players.

With regards to not getting too much info at once.  I can see your point on working on one leak at a time. That way I don't get overwhelmed with too much info.  but what I guess i want to do is try something like a reset.  My thoughts were that maybe I started playing wrong to begin with and I developed bad habits because of it.  So I want to attempt to restart by learning what I can so the next time I hit the tables, I have a more developed game plan since I have more knowledge.  I'm not sure if that made sense, but thats my thought on the situation.  I'm not even sure that it'll work.

Now getting a coach is something I really am leaning towards.  I just have to do the research to finding the one and save enough so I can afford one.  I'll do that after I finish the ebook.

I gotta do what I gotta do to meet my goals.

Ryzant's picture
Sup peeps, So its been a

Sup peeps,

So its been a while since I posted (about a 2.5 months).  After my last post, I didn't play at all during the rest of April.  April is a pretty busy month for my work.  I also did not want to play more until I got a better grasp of the fundamentals of Hypers.  So I read some articles and watched the free hyper videos on this site.  but I still didnt feel confident.  So I decided to get a coach to help me learn the basics.  After doing some research, I decided to get coached by Cog  Dissonance.  I decided to post today because I just finished my last session with him.  He is a great coach and I learned a lot from him.  I felt that my poker knowledge leveled up a couple of times during the whole course.

So here is my graph while I was being coached by him.

I played mostly the $2.40 games during the time I was being coached. The last 100 games were $6 level.

and just for comparison, here is my first 290 games played this year.

So comparing my graph while being coached by Cog and my 1st 290 games graph, My net won is about the same place but my EV is definitely in a better place.  I know it's a small sample size but I feel pretty good.  I feel like getting coached by Cog is a step in the right direction in my attempt to reach my goal this year.  I just need to apply everything I learned and try to keep improving.

So I'm back! I'll probably do weekly updates since my volume during an individual day is pretty low.

Wish me luck!

Thanks for reading!

Hey peeps, So its been a

Hey peeps,

So its been a pretty downward week.  After look at most of my games, I played with a lot of loose passive players.  I was slow to recognize them while playing against them.  So I kept bluffing and paying them off.  The other player that I have trouble adjusting to are players who plays passive preflop and plays aggressive postflop.

I'm still trying to learn more about how to put players on ranges.  My post flop game is pretty horrible.  If the concept of ranges can just click in my brain.

Anyhow, here is my week's graph:

Wish me luck!

Hi Ryzant nice blog.  Just

Hi Ryzant nice blog.  Just wanted to write about your trouble adjusting to players you said were passive pre flop and aggressive post flop.

Don't level yourself against those players too much.  That isn't necessarily a strategy they are using vs you. The reason they may seem more aggressive postflop than preflop is because their vpip is tighter preflop so it means their range they get to the flop with will connect better on flop textures and realize more equity which will result in them checkraising you more and folding to your cbets less.

Ryzant's picture
Thanks Arronwilson.  I did

Thanks Arronwilson.  I did not think of it that way. I didnt play much this week so I didnt encounter those types of opponents.  How do I adjust to them?

Im thinking open with only stronger hands, limp the weaker ones. and on flop cbet dry board and give up if they raise and i dont have it? just throwing my thoughts out there.  Im not really sure how to adjust.

MID-YEAR UPDATE Hey Peeps, So

MID-YEAR UPDATE

Hey Peeps,

So its the halfway through 2014 and I just wanted to show how my goal is going.

I'll start off with my Year to Date graph.

I've played a total of 1,317 games

I've made a total of -$89.60

and I still currently play the $6 level.

I started the year extremely lucky then karma started catching up.  My volume is extremely low for halfway in the year.  I cant really do much about it since I can only play 2 hours most nights and the traffic at WPN during those hours are equally extremely low.  I'll be lucky if I can get 10 games per night I play.  My bankroll is also lower than I started but not a lot compared to my EV. So I guess it isnt so bad.  Reaching the $34 level by the end of this year seems highly unlikely, but I'll still try to achieve it.

With regards to being a more competent player, I'm working on that.  I just finished Cog Disonnance's Hyper Turbo intro course.  I learned a lot.  I just need to review and apply and review and apply what I learned from him.  I also need to stay disciplined with regards to folding and bluffing because I've been giving money away not doing and doing them.

I really hope I can turn things during the 2nd half of this year so that I can reach my desired goals.

Hey peeps, Here has been my

Hey peeps,

Here has been my mid July graph.

I know I really need to work on my post flop game. I looked at my hand histories and noticed that give up a lot of chips post flop, such as double barreling.

I also noticed that most of the players I've been playing are loose passives.  So I'm still working on adjusting playing against them and identifying them sooner.  I'm going to review how to play them so I can beat them more effectively.

and random story: I accidentally bought in to a $12 HTHU game.  I thought I was playing $6 until my 15th rematch versus the opponent.  I managed to end 10-8. So I felt pretty good about it.  $12 is still way above my BR but I'm pretty happy I got to taste it.  I can't wait to have BR big enough to play that level.

Wish me luck!

Sup peeps. Had horrible

Sup peeps.

Had horrible volume this week.  Tropical storms and rains made my internet really unreliable this week.  I disconnected while playing several games.  So I just watched several videos to make up for it.

Here is my week's graph.

Probably one of my best weeks in terms of money and EV.  No I just really need to try to get more volume.  Feel good play good.

Wish me luck!

Sup peeps, Here is my weekly

Sup peeps,

Here is my weekly update. I had a pretty good week money-wise.  My EV was pretty break-even. So flying above EV this week.  I'll take it a win is a win. :) I had a pretty good last 2 weeks. Hopefully this trend continues. I still need to work on volume tho.

This week I'm still getting beat up by a couple of players who play loose-aggressive preflop, aggressive post-flop players that I mentioned a several of posts back.  I know @aaronwilson gave a response regarding those player types.  I guess playing them is just pretty annoying.  Anyways, I gotta review my games vs those players to find out what i need to do.

Wish me luck!

JULY UPDATE Sup peeps,  Its

JULY UPDATE

Sup peeps,

Its the end of July so here is my end of the month update.  I'll start with my graph.

So I'm up overall.   Obviously, I'm running pretty hot but I wont complain.  My volume is pretty low due to the weather at my area.  We have had a tropical storm every week.  So much rain and winds makes my internet unreliable. I didn't want to play when I had a high chance of disconnect.  Majority of the players I was up against were loose passives and I feel that the strategy I learned works pretty well against them.  The most difficult ones I've faced where those who were very passive pre-flop but hyper aggressive post flop.  I played a couple of them during the month and they were the majority of the reason for the dips on my graph. They are few and far between but still gives me a struggle.  This is also the first month where I had both positive money and EV line.  I felt pretty good during the month.  I know I still have a lot to learn.  I hope I cant do better next month.  If I have similar or better result next month, I am most likely going to move up in stakes by the beginning of September.  I'm really looking forward to that.

Wish me luck!

It does look like you are

It does look like you are doing better over time. Just keep on grinding it out, pray to the rain gods to leave the tropical storms away and keep running good!

Any pics of your area?

Thanks RyPac.  I'm still

Thanks RyPac.  I'm still trying to improve.  The weather is abetter compared to July. So the internet isn't disconnecting.

I didnt take any pictures doing the storms but here are some photos I found of the tropical storm at the end of July that canceled a day of work for me.
