Looking for a new HUSNG site - recommendations?

Hi all,

I am looking for a new site to play HUSNGs at so was hoping for everyone's opinion at the matter. I was playing at Redkings, but they kept messing about with my account and I got a little alarmed so have withdrawn my funds. I am a non-US based player currently playing $30 turbos and $15 hyper turbos. I was hoping to join Titan poker, but unfortunately ipoker have still not bothered to release a mac client. So am looking at the following sites - Carbon poker, Black chip, pokerstars and full tilt?

I have played at pokerstars before, so know what to expect there. Given that they now own fulltilt is there any difference between the two?

I know nothing about Carbon and black chip, so any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

And no...you NEVER, NEVER, NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVEEEEEEEEEEEEEER hope to join TITAN  Poker...if you have this wish, it means you are possesed by little demons that will make you jump  of a bridge, once you cash big and before you cash out!

I made a comment a few weeks

I made a comment a few weeks ago about how most, if not all poker sites are rigged. I mean, why wouldn't they!? Each players account is assigned a specific algorithm that will ultimately determine the cards they are dealt and what the outcome will be. Now that doesn't mean there is a level of skill involved. You still have to know your opponent and make positive EV plays. Anyways, I am probably sounding like a crazy tin foil hat wearing  spaz.

But I do find it funny that Barrin says to avoid playing on Titan. He commented on my post essentially saying that I was crazy for believing that online poker sites were rigged. In fact, the main site I was referring to was Titan/William Hill. I agree with him 100% that you should avoid Titan. It is probably one of the worst. They employ a stable of house players who draw people in to help keep circulating the money. I don't really feel like explaining what my experience has been with iPoker, but to say the least, it is very suspicious.

I guess stars or tilt is your best option. They are lesser of evils. But I do remember people telling me before Black Friday that Full Tilt was the safest site on the internet. I laugh at that now. None of us know what is happening behind the scenes.

What happened to UB and Absolute is still happening today. Its just that now the cheaters are smarter, more efficient, and much less vulnerable to being exposed. Russ Hamilton lives on.

I would not call Titan rigged

I would not call Titan rigged or anything. I simply do not like the kind of 'customer care' and the software they use.

As for the algorythm. I dunno. For me it makes no sense. The biggest gain for a pokersite is if every player wins 50% of the hands, loses money (due to rake) and still does not stop playing. Therefore it makes the most sense to support teaching sites which, if the strategies are used against each other, mike a draw likely.

and why would a company with a licence to print money endanger that? why would you temper with the random number generators? it makes no sense. poker has an inbuilt incentive for bad players to come back and play and in the long run lose money: that is randomness. ever thought about why chess fish aren´t playing for more money than they can afford or aren´t playing for money at all? because it´s 100% skill and therefore bad players don´t ever mistake their own playing for good. since poker has such a huge luck factor, fish keep coming back. that is the sole reason, why poker is profitable both for poker rooms and good players. remember: that factor is inbuilt, you don´t have to cheat to achieve that. given the huge number of games being played every second, the most unlikely events will happen over and over again. a couple of days ago i had a 5card PLO hand where the following hands were shown down: royal flush, quad kings, Aces full of Kings. of course two of the players reassured themselves this must be rigged, so that pokerstars can make more money. it´s nonsense. such hands will happen with only randomness involved (plus the rake has been capped on the turn already, another argument why it´s nonsense to rig hands).

the thing that can be rigged in poker though is something like the full tilt thing, where funds simply aren´t secured. but that has nothing to do with the game itself being honest.

PokerStars is a good

PokerStars is a good choice.

If you can get off Mac for poker playing, iPoker is also a great choice.

We have great deals for both, with PS we offer our video packs for free when you rake a certain amount. For iPoker, we have some great deals to various rooms, you'd have to email us for us to figure out what works best for you (different top skins have restrictions on various countries and different VIP rewards and so on).

I highly doubt that the rake

I highly doubt that the rake can be that low, since .fr sites are run under the french gambling regulation. That this is much more complicated and rake higher one can see very well, if he compares pokerstars.fr with pokerstars.com

Hi.

What's the rake on

What's the rake on winimax.fr? I too am doubting that it is lower than many non .fr sites. Not to take anything away from winimax, as barrin says, French regulation is responsible for higher rake on those sites, but I can't imagine that winimax is lower rake than say Stars.com or Black Chip or iPoker with market rate deals.

Hypers HU 2 Euro (1.90+0.10)

Hypers HU 3 Euro (2.85+0.15)

Hypers HU 10 Euro (9.53+0.47)

Hypers HU 30 Euro (28.65+1.35)

That is much higher rake than

That is much higher rake than pokerstars.com

It is about the same rake pokerstars has BEFORE rakeback for Turbo structure

Hi.

The rake on PokerStars hypers

The rake on PokerStars hypers is about 1/3 of that. The rake on Black Chip is roughly 1/3 of that too.

After a good iPoker deal, the rake is around 1/3 of that as well.

Granted, winimax may have some bad players (but so does BCP and iPoker, and hell PS too, PS has some of the worst players, you just also find more competent ones mixed in).

I'd consider the other three sites before Winimax. Winimax may be a good option if you're in France and can't play off of .fr, but I wouldn't recommend playing at 3x the rake in hypers there.

has anyone tested the new unibet?

No, but I'd like to hear some

No, but I'd like to hear some opinions about it. I'd imagine we'll see if it can hold enough traffic to matter for HUSNGs in the next few months.

BOMBA78's picture
how is the traffic at black

how is the traffic at black chip for  European players when playing during the evenings?

RyPac13's picture
BCP traffic during Euro

BCP traffic during Euro evenings (American late mornings) won't be that great. Other than at lower levels, you'll get pretty sporadic games (maybe 5-20 minute waits in $36 - 50 levels).

Trying to play Euro mornings on the weekend (late American nights), especially if you can do early Euro mornings, would be best, that's when you get the worst players spewing at a high rate.
