Hello fellow HUSNG members,
This is my first post ever! I have been reading forums for a while, and it is about time I post something.
My goals for the rest of 2013 are:
1. Play the $15 hypers w/ a proper bankroll. I have been very stubborn to follow BRM and made the decision that I'm tired of depositing small amounts and I so, will start w/100 buy-ins ($1500).
If anyone has suggestions on deposit methods I would be glad to hear from you. As of right now I buy prepaid MasterCard’s because I do not want give my SIN number out.
2. Work on mental game. I have found HUSNG almost a year ago, and since then I have improved quite a bit. I started at the low limit turbos and then transition to hypers. I had some success with each format and won some MTT heads up the $10.2 and $10.5 super knockout throughout this year.
I also had some confidence issues while moving up—mainly due to bad run at times. I have been reading around and realized that it is not uncommon to lose at least 6 games in a row. This has been tilting me partly because I have been results oriented, which relates to not following proper BRM.
Major Weaknesses - Playing to long / Chasing losses / Poor game selection
3. Achieve a more balance lifestyle. When I find something I like, I become super obsessive.
4. Move up to $30 hypers by September 2014 as well as grow my bankroll from $1500 to $4500.
Plan is to play 15hypers 80-100games/day during the week. No weekends.
Read Heads-up NL by Collin Moshman / Mer's Ebook again and continue reading Jared Tendlar's mental game of poker.
Watch some free videos / follow action at the high stakes.
Get coaching (when I can afford it).
Acquire friends in HUSNG community so I can discuss various situations hands
(skype available upon request).
When I hit this goal I will post the rest of my master plan!
Long-term goal for HUSNG –
1.Be the best HUSNG player ever.

Hello everyone,
It has been a week since my first post and I would just like to mention my monthly goals.
But first I have a couple question related to posting converted hands and pictures.
1. I looked through the instruction and can't find the "html button on the toolbar"
2. what is the best website to upload graphs/pictures to post in this forum ?
Monthly Goals
1. Grow bankroll from $1500 to atleast 20+ buy-ins ($300) by the end of the month
- Expected volume 2000 games/month // 80-100/games a day
- I am a full-time student and work part-time so it will be difficult for me to put in this volume. I plan on putting a large volume during reading week which is the week after thanksgiving.
2. Get better at 2-tabling
- Maintain focus for 2-table for longer time
- Try to continue to make best +ev decision while playing multiple games.
3. Balance lifestyle -
I) Continue becoming a stronger swimmer
atleast 500m on Mon and Wed
II) Tuesday - Basketball
Brief update 1st week- Felt like a rollercoaster ride @ Canada's Wonderland Behemoth or Leviathan.
Firstly I got my first real bankroll in my account $1500. I use to do 200 at a time playing 15hypers and that was not working.
Starting off October pretty good. http://i768.photobucket.com/albums/xx322/adrianaguilar23/Oct_zps79ccfd7f.png (Also someone please reply if this picture works!)
However, the end of september was pretty brutal i deposited my bankroll over this last weekend and played about 200 games and went -20 BI. If I used my old BRM strategy of buy-in for $200 I definately would of went "busto" again and my confidence level would decrease.
I can't complain noticed my agression is not the same as it was when I played the $7 hyper.
At the same time had difficulties maintainning focus 2-tabling while trying to game select as I do not have sharky yet. This has lead me to making less ev decision for example calling off a 3-bet shove with lower Ax early in the game.
Made some adjustments and starting to become aggressive again but in new spots. I like to call it subtle aggression and it seems to be working well since October.
Just a little confused by my graph as at one point EV line was decreasing and chips won line was increasing. I would be glad to here other peoples thoughts on my graph. I anticipate that people will say I'm getting lucky but what I think is happening is that I get into the chip lead say 700/300 and I run into KQ vs A5s and end up winning the hand. Hence my ev line will decrease and green line will shoot up the other way OR it is a leak that i have to plug and I am calling off to light with Ace high on river and calling all ins early w/ TP or SD FD situations.
Ending BR: $1600

This is a late update. This is for Oct 10,2013 week 3
So the third week was looking very promising early in the week. By the end of the week I tilted away most of my profits got my bankroll to 1800 now im back where i started. It is very frustrating some days it just feels like all the hands i go all in with are beat Ax vs higher Ax, pockets vs higher pockets and even the hands where i get it in good end up binking the river and end up losing the game. I guess its just one of those days(weeks). Most of this month's game were on my laptop but this weekend i ended up using my pc and downloaded the trial version of sharky. I must of misread how much it cost i thoought it was 36/permonth not 36 for 6months total.

For November I am going to be starting a 30 day challenge. I am doing this challange to achieve my montly goal - "balanced lifestyle"
I invite anyone to do this challenge with me or provide any suggestions on what i should do for 30 days.
Also if you have done something like this before I would like to hear about it please leave a reply.
So an example of both - Go to the gym for 30 days OR No fast food for 30 days.
These were my monthly goals for October 2013
1. Grow bankroll from $1500 to atleast 20+ buy-ins ($300) by the end of the month
- Expected volume 2000 games/month // 80-100/games a day
2. Get better at 2-tabling
- Maintain focus for 2-table for longer time
- Try to continue to make best +ev decision while playing multiple games.
3. Balance lifestyle -
I) Continue becoming a stronger swimmer
II) Tuesday - Basketball
So the first goal was 50% successful. I achieved the volume i had set out for the month. However, growing my bankroll did not go as planned. I experienced some positive and negative swings this month. But overall it was a good learning experience as after having a couple positive weeks I started to work on my 2-tabling abilities which are not very good and this took a toll on my bankroll and burn't me out a little.
For my last goal I would say it was not very successful as I only got to swim a total of maybe 5 times this month.
Ending BR for October -$1430
Sup everyone,
First off just want to say Happy New Year lol. Been a crazy rollercoaster since my first ever post last October been busto and back at least 3 times. It is pretty funny looking back at my first ever thread specifically how optimistic I was tfor sure going to crush the 15s no problem. How wrong I was LOL
So I'm still around and its 2014 I can't say I made to much money since I started but that's fine with me. Had many great experiences and got alot better since I started and really started to understand where I am really at poker wise.
I wasn't actually going to continue writing this blog but I'm not the one to give up to easily and mainly going to be doing this for those other players just like me who are struggling and startin' from the bottom. I'm not one of those kids who can deposit $20 and turn it into $$thousands I had to redeposit countless times since I first started playing.
1. Mental game issues I must say are the most difficult for me since I started at 15s without a large sample at the 7s hypers only about 1000 games at the time.
Just going to do a quick recap of the end 2013 and early 2014.
Nov - Dec 2013 - continued playing 15s but at this point was really button clicking and having break even stretches and the inevitable runbad.
Being a new player I was not use to the swings and since I was not evening a winning player at 15s the swings were larger which does crazy things to a players mentality and hence I went on tilt and busted my roll late November. Also I dont want to make any excuses it could of been caused by alot of other factors than just breaking even. At the time was learning two new programming languages python and html along with some database sql stuff, working and some family stuff.
So basically my game was not improving and I just kept putting in more volume without improving the quality of games/decisions. Anyways this is how I went busto. My ego got in the way and I decided to martin gale this bitch and play 30s -100s. Long story short I was winning short run at 30s for couple days and tilted my roll at 60s and 100s. But overall it was a great learning experience didn't feel like I was that horrible compared to them just got UL haha. If i only had a rollll.... was my thought process after I busted. Also I applied for some staking programs and obviously got denied by HUSNG and Team Crush which just motivated me to get better and show them they are making the wrong decision by not choosing me.
Anyways managed to bink 1st and get itm enough times in those low stakes hu mtt that I mentioned earlier and got my roll back just before the new year Sicck buzz!! However, this didn't last long or address the real issue that I wasn't beating 15 hypers over a large sample size and like a optomistic insane fish that I am i kept swimming at the 15s hoping for a different results.
So === 2014 === With my new found confidence
Jan - mid- Feb - Cooler City
Beginning of the year was going good at the $15 Hypers watched some video packs got a new default game plan and joined couple hu hyper study groups met several other players who are winning at different stakes and I thought yea this is it going to CRUSH now. But everything eventually caught up with me same vicious cycle. Breakeven for couple days then start playing bad for a week, Move to 30s+ and busto. This time I ended up playing the $215 HU TCOOP - 11 I ended up bubbling but managed to swap 10% with people in chat group who went semi deep. So overall that was great experience I also got to play some coaches from husng at the 30s and 60s before I went busto and loved that whole experience. 1 minute I'm watching a video by this guy that I aspire to be like and next thing you know I'm playing him so awesome how that is possible anyways I won a couple games over a small sample. Also got to play mtv which I thought was going to be super hard since he has a profile page on this website but really didn't think he had a crazy edge :P and would consider sitting him if I saw him at 15s.
I swear I went busto probably second week in Feb took a week off and really contemplated whether or not to continue haven't seen any returns and I could just be getting lucky etc... My confidence was shattered
Convinced my self to continue said I didn't give my self a fair shake at the 15s as I would tilt my roll at higher limits after losing -20bi so I RE-deposit (LAST ONE I said to myself)
So I think I deposited maybe 500 or 600usd and played the 7s for 1k sample and slowly but surely my confidence begin to pick up again and ended up making some money at 7s 2 week straight this time I binked some hu mtt (finally) and by mid march I got back to 15s and was doing great and made my initial roll back + and more
Now I'm feeling unstopabble I'm up almost 1k! from October which is not much to some but for a breakeven donk like me its light at the end of the tunnel My two tabling skills are finally getting better and was pushing 3 tables, been watching some more videos, posting hand history making sure I'm taking similar lines as my friends from higher limits, starting to learn how to use pt4 other than the hud. Also I met some players at 15s and dicussed who I should and shouldn't be playing. Didn't realize I was constantly playing so called "regs at 15s" and suggested I should bumhunt/game select better.
Needless to say I was on some massive heater! which didn't last very long mid march I continued playing 15s 3-tabling and had my worst week yet wanted to get on that Sharkscope Leaderboard thought to myself "ya ya going to put in crazy volume!" Almost lost my whole roll again 2 weeks -1k/week now I know what it really feels like to run bad/play bad !! stubborness to move down, overconfidence and auto-piloting 3 tables = almost busto!
So finally were at April 2014 and I got my ego in check. Better late then never ! Re-deposit 300-400 + w/e I had left in my stars acct giving me $640 enough for 7s.
- Went back to the basics. Checked my ranges which were off a bit and some of my calling oop and ip at 15bb and below effective stacks.
1st week - doing well at 7s + binked some hu mtt
2nd week - playing good at 7s seems like I'm a winner over a large sample and binked some more hu mtt this week! Also mixing in 15s and selectively choosing people I believe I have an edge on even if they are on the SS leaderboard which has been going great as well.
Status: Got my roll back and some
====2014 Goals====
Finally going to accept I am not winning at the 15s !! So plan now is to ..
1. Beat 7s hypers over 10k sample - got like 4k CHECK GRAPH : http://pbrd.co/1lSrB0u
- Build roll from 1.5 to 3k after 10k sample size and achieve roi over 4%
2. Move to 15s by 2015 and have a 2% roi over a large sample
So since this is a Poker Goals/Challenges section I will be holding some challenges for ALL HUSNG players but specifically for micro hu players as what I have to offer is not appealing for any1 at highers stakes than me.

HU MTT RESULTS - http://pbrd.co/1t07h1c
This is just to show you guys what to expect. All the $10 ones are my cashes for the tournament I am giving 10% away. Don't want to sound to confident but I get to the bubble match and ITM pretty consistent recently. The $5 cashes is actually the 10.5 HU MTT super-ko which I also play but it is a turbo speed. The $22 tourney is a HU-MTT that I started to try and it's actually not as hard as I thought it would be. It is definitely harder than the super knockout but its for sure beat able I've been getting closer to first!
HOW TO WIN:
The hand must be part of a showdown.
More consideration is given if you stack off your opponent.
Non-showdowns will not count! ( got a royal flush and straight flush this weekend but didnt get to showdown)
Post a screenshot or boom player link either is acceptable
- Hands only count between now and 12am
The first one will be going to HIGH HAND and it starts at 11:45am eastern time and is a 10.2 hyper HU MTT.
The second one will be going to BAD BEAT of the day and will get 10% for the 11:45pm 10.2 hyper HU MTT
Recently had to switch to playing on my macbook. For some reason my desktop pc wifi is acting up and keeps dropping the connection every 5 mins so I don't got a lot of games to show for this month except what I had in my last post.

So funny BoB! beat me to it
I'm doing a funny joke challenge this week! $10 for the best joke!
The reason I'm doing a funny jokes for this challenges is because I decided I will be attempting to do amateur night stand up @ my local yuk yuk's comedy club. This is not happening anytime soon as I am no prepared. But if all goes well I will post a link of my stand up. The reason I wanted to try this is because I want to improve my skills/abilities to talking in front of a crowd. It's a very useful skill and there are not many chances where you can work on this. Also I believe laughter is a very powerful tool and if used correctly you can provide someone with laughter/happiness by telling couple jokes and to me that's priceless.
Would also like to hear some good topics or if you have a fav stand up comedian you can leave a link as I watch/listen to it while I'm grinding. I made a post earlier for Challenge #1 but it doesn't seem like it went through and I've been waiting for couple hours now so I decided I might as well post Challenge #2 since my buddy Bob has already started.
Good Luck at the tables.
This is just a standard bb, since no one else posted.
