Hi guys,
I've recently been thinking about purchasing a pack from your site (either Sentin, zzztilt/phl500 or chadders) and giving exclusive HUSNG's a try, i've dabbled in them but not to much success.
However after reading updates about PS rake increase, I'm thinking is it really worth it? Considering no doubt I'll be playing micro stakes for a looong time.
Are there any other good HUSNG sites? What is FTP like for HUSNGs?
Thanks in advance
Hi there ezsauce
Don't get into it for the money, you'll only be disappointed.
Hi Adam
Thanks for the reply. What are your reasons behind this? Obviously like most poker players I am hoping to get into it for the money, although your probably right and I will be disappointed after taking a few bad beats and tilting my role away lol :)
Also with the rake increase, are there any 'better' sites than PS to play HUSNG's?
Thanks

The biggest problem right now with hypers
is the fact that alot of players are "Saying" they are no longer profitable when they really are still very profitable
other sites ahve a higher rake than stars . com but there are still winning players there
i think it sux so many winning regs have said that stars will die because of it when it seems for now stars still has lowest rake for hypers
i think a big part driving recreational players away is spin and goes and also all the negative comments about rake in hypers now
Hypers still remain the most profitable SNG imho though spin and goes are very fishy atm though higher rake and much higher variance makes them frustrating to play at times
I don't think the question is about whether the games are immediately profitable in the short term. Mathematically, if the conditions remain the same as they are now, there are still profitable edges to be found (albeit smaller with larger swings now with the rake increase). This has been shown several times on other forum posts.
The real concern that has been expressed is online poker's terrible outlook in the medium-long term and how Pokerstars recent changes catalyses an equilibrium where online poker is not worth playing.
Pokerstars' recent changes clearly signals they don't see value in preserving skill based games. They realise that the poker market has reached maturity and are looking to leverage the brand into casino games which appeal more to the casual player base. Add to this, if volumes don't decrease significantly after the recent rake increase, pokerstars will simply increase their rake again in line with competitors. Given they are perceived as a superior product largely via their competitors being guilty of customer mistreatment, they would still preserve their dominant market position.
The implication for the games is that they will become raketraps for all but the highest rakeback earners. Pokerstars gets a bigger cut of the casual deposits and uses the short term increased profits to invest in laying a new range of casino games.
Why are regs angry & disgruntled?
Because for years they happily worked hard to make Pokerstars a crap ton of money via the liquidity they provided the Pokerstars platform and now they are being asked to fund funding the expansion of a business whose strategy/interests are no longer aligned with theirs.
