Hello, i'm small winner at 7$ 4men HuSngs at pokerstars and i'm considering buying a video pack in order to improve my game.
I am between Greenbast's turbo package and the Standard video pack. Which one do you recommend and why?
Thank you very much
i got the standard pack recently i think its great lots of vids and some very good information however the vids are a little old and still great for fundamentals and the basics, some of the more recent vids are more appropriate.
i learned alot from free vids the merc Ebook etc before i got the standard pack (got it with a PT4 sign up)
of the free vids the best that helped me was PBogs vids espiecially the ones with the power points on how to play v villains frequencies open raise , 3 bet etc
also Sentins beating fish like a boss (or as i like to call it "getting back to basics) these are hyper vids but many hyper vids are good for normal speed too
so after all that id recommend u spend a few days looking at all the free stuff as much as u can
then look for some regular speed vids that are most recent (that said the standard pack has alot of reg speed and turbo speed stuff in it and alot is still important in todays games)
thanks for your answer brett. I have already seen the free ones though :)
Can someone give an opinion on what pack is gonna help me the most?
Thank you
I play the same limits and you and i would recommend you buy the Greenbast package. The reason for that is that as a beginner you need a structure or a foundation from which you can build your game. In the Greenbast videos he will give you a range and show you which hands should be played in which position so he is giving you general rules or "laws". The problem with the standard pack is that it includes many leakfinder and gameplay session which are great once you have the fundamental but they are not good at deducing general play which is why i would recommend the Greenbast package.
Thanks for your answer AtotheG. Yeah i'm afraid that maybe the Greenbast pack is just too "basic".. I love his free videos and his style but i kinda think that maybe i'm a level or two above the "beginner".. i could be wrong though cause if i was better i wouldn't be stuck on 7-15 level for 2 months.
I just don't know if it's the right choice in order to take my game to the next level..
2 months isn't a long time. You could very well be a winning player, either running bad or not having yet built up a good enough sample to get out of the $7s.
We'll have an intermediate turbo pack available very shortly, and you can take a look at that. Greenbast's pack is good as well, but it is for lower level players. That may or may not fit you, it's hard to say without more information, but the last thing you want to do is buy a pack you're not feeling confident is right for you.
Is this the turbo pack that was supposed to come out in September? If not, will that one come out soon too? The more turbo vids the better :)
Yeah i was thinking the same thing before i bought the pack and i can only recommend it. Every time i am not quite sure about a call or a three bet i made i check my notes i made while reviewing it and see if my play was correct according to Greenbast. So i can only recommend the videopack. The only thing that disappointed me a little bit was his discussion of post-flop play which i did find a little to basic.
Thanks everyone for your answers! Really appreciate it!
I think i will wait for the intermediate pack then.. :D
These are my stats on Husng turbos.. Small sample? Does it worth to even try to climb stakes? What do you think? It's kinda weird that on the 3.5 levels i have made about the same $$ that i made on 7's level with the double volume.. Don't know if running bad or just can't beat the level.. :/ What do you think? Sorry for the questions but it's my 1st serious attempt on husngs!
Thanks again for your answers!
