One of my problems, specially in turbo, but also in hypers, is that i don´t know how to adjust my ranges based on SB.
Ive read merssenary range in BB readless, and that is ok, and i understand the general directions one has to make, if the SB opens more, 3bet more light, maybe flat more, if he tights up, reduce the 3bet bluffing range, probably decrease flatting range.
The problem is, how much and in what amount?
How I decide what my flat range should be 30BB deep, against someone that opens 75? what if the opening range is 60%?, what if it´s 50%? what if he is very agressive?, what if he is very passive?. The question is not what to do in general term, but who Id ecided EXACTLY which hands i should flat, 3bet or fold?
Terms like ¨flat more¨ ¨3bet more¨ is not very helpfull to me, What is more? what % more? which extra hands? And the more important question, what is the mathematical justification for that exact number?
Is there any resource i can get to help me define in a more precise and theorical way my ranges in the BB against the different SB ranges?
get coffeecalcs and watch currs video cant remember the name its on developing hand ranges based on hud and maths or something.
its called this
currrr14: Breaking Down A Villain's Ranges Part I
Thanks for the reply, I can see how cofeecalcs can help me develop a BB range in the more shallow part of the tournament, since it´s good for Shove situations, but my problem is in flatting range situations, specially 30BB and higher (I play mostly turbos).
But I will watch the suggested video.
It's hard to figure out what exact ranges to call or fold in those situations without a ton of experience. Some video packs can help, but they're going to teach you more how to think (why and when to put certain hands in and out of your ranges in those spots), rather than giving you exact ranges.
This is mostly because one person's 50% is different from another person's. Most players do not follow hand strength charts. Also, your confidence interval of an opponent's actions changes a lot based on sample and the types of hands you actually observe.
Coffeeyay's Math Pack and zZzTILT and phl500's Crushing Hyper Turbos might be of interest to you. Our Turbo Packs are not ideal for what you seek, even if you mostly play turbos.
