Is it possible to make money in the $30 and $60 hypers without being in the divisions for those stakes? Or do the people in the divisions sit anyone who is not in them?
In the $60s in particular, you really need to be in a division.
The divisions were made at these levels to ensure that regs would play other regs too, and not just sit and play bad players all day and avoid anyone good. So there are objective requirements (statistical ones) to getting into the divisions.
I'd recommend trying to get into the $30s division while also grinding $15s. That way, you can be playing many regs trying to get in at $30s while still making good money vs weaker players in $15s. Once you get into the $30s division, you'll likely be facing fewer regs and you can start playing regs in $60s to try to get in there while making good money in $30s.
