I just switched over to heads up poker, and so far it seems like most good players raise their button around 90% of the time, but against villains who call ~90% of the time, and rarely fold to C-Bets, it seems like I'm in a tough position a lot of the time with hands like Q2, 105, J3, etc.
I realize I should bet for thin value and get to showdown with Ace high etc., but how do you guys adjust preflop? It seems like it would make sense to slightly tighten up (open ~60%?) so you have more equity against them, as you are rarely winning with fold equity without multiple barrels. Would it make sense to limp the bottom ~20% of your range as you have almost no fold equity? That seems too transparent to even bad players though.
Thanks for any ideas.
raise less, and limp more
raise value hands bigger than min raise pre flop see if he still calls
check back more flops, and bet value hands slightly bigger
what does he do to double / triple barrels either try them more if he folds to them or less if he calls all the way
i find v this type of player a delay cbet on the turn gets more folds sometimes too
