From what I can gather, cartels are groups of regs who agree not to play each other and agree when they will sit in lobbies waiting for fish. Do these cartels dominate all the lobbies at stars and if so what stakes do they exist at? I know there is a cartel for the 60's but do they exist at other stakes aswell? I also read that even when you are in the cartel you get an average of 10 games per hour versus fish. This seems kind of ridiculous considering how small roi's are in hypers. Hypers don't seem that attractive if all of this that I have read is true. Can someone please explain the state of cartels in games today?
Its divisons from 30s until 100s/60s and cartels at high stakes. Which means you have to play good volume to get in these divisons. At higher stakes there is also a voting system. Since traffic is not that great I would agree that hu hypers is not that attractive any more.
Yes divisions work exactly like the guy above said. It's no club, and the the list of members are very different now compared to this time last year. So if you meet the ev playing requirements, you're in the division and we kick someone out.
I guess the volume isn't as good as a couple of years ago but the games are far from dead. I'm in the $100s division and just play the $60s and $100s atm and would average 15-20 games an hour (depending on the day of the week). With 4% rois possible, that's still good money.
Also, with spin n gos becoming popular, having a strong base in HUSNGs is very advantageous as you are probably going to want to have an itm% of 37% in those games to be able to handle the swings and that won't be possible unless you are an expert heads up.
HI... this cartels are only in hyper turbo sng or in turbo to?
and what are the condicion to be in this cartels?
thank you
$30 to 1ks in hypers, and I think just $100s in turbos, but I'm not 100% up to date there.
The $30-100 in hypers have pretty fair EV rules to get you in. The higher levels are more politics involved/the old guard of players has more power relative to their results. In lower levels if you don't have results, you're not keeping better players out of your division (it's why many of us call the $30-100s divisions and the $200+ cartels).
You'd have to check with each level specifically, but usually it requires 2 weeks to 2 months of play vs any current member(s) of the division and showing that you belong to automatically get put into the division.
Nice.. i will start in $30 turbos... i think hypers arent play much poker (just an opinion)...
so i can be safe there isnt cartel on $30-$60 turbos heads up and i will play "sometimes" vs "recreacional" player ? (thats the most important)
thank you
A $100s guy that has been involved in their group since the beginning told me he's not aware of any $60s group so you should be fine.
And if you get to the point to where you're solid in the $60s, it likely won't be too hard to get into the $100s group, they were setup quite fair I believe, letting in any solid players after a pretty short period of time.
Can you even get a free lobby at the Turbos without Sharky?
In 60s and 100s you cannot. In 30s I'm not sure.
