Hey!
My name is Jesper and I am from the Netherlands, I am relatively new to husng.com but I would really like to become an active member in this community. I am creating this topic to post about my Spin&Go Poker adventure, not just the results but also my learning process. Last weeks I was a bit busy because I moved to an University but blisfull can I put some focus on Poker now!
I am starting at the bottom with a 85$ bankroll but I try to climb up quickly. The ultimate goal is to earn 100k+ in 5 years (during my study to pay off my study debts + creating some equity) but this feels very far away. I will try to play around 1000 games a month during my University courses and in my holidays 1000 games a week, which brings me to the month goals.
September:
Playing Poker:
- Play 1000 1$ Spin N Gos
- ITMev 39%
- ROI 6%
Studying Poker
- Study the Mersenneary e-book to improve my HU game.
Bankroll
- 145$ + 10$ (stellar rewards) + bankrollbooster -> 155+
- bankrollbooster: on the last sunday of every month I will play 6max hyper ffp sunday storm sats with the fpps I earned that month.
At the end of September I am able to invest some money in Poker (100$) but I am not sure how to invest it yet. I have several options in mind like the Spin N Go Hud, a video pack or investing it in my bankroll. I would really like to buy the Spin N Go pack from Coffeeyay but for now is it to expensive. It would be nice to get some tips on this decision from you :)
Mid term goals (-summer 2016)
- Playing the 15$ Spin N Gos
- Enroll in a coaching programme
I am aware of the fact that the most topics in this section don't make it to a 5th post but I won't be one of them^^
Let me know what you think about it, I will write an update next week. (with some more information about myself as well)

PS: if anyone wants to speak on Skype, sent me a PM.
Hey!
Here a small recap from last the last week. I started playing 4 tables at the same time but I didn't feel really good about it since I didn't make profit.. after 170 games I decided to start 2 tabling and that went better.
Results
Chip Graph
Tilt
Next to these games I wasted 64 dollars in wcoop sats. I felt really bad about that, it's something I did before and I really have to work on the type of tilt, in which I start playing 15$+ buy ins levels. I decided to restrict me from all tournaments, all casino games and sngs with buy ins above 1 dollar. So for now the only thing I can play are the 1$ Spin and Gos. I decided to keep this 64 dollar lost out of the project.
After this I didn't play poker for the rest of the week because I had midterms on my university and I had to study hard for it. It was pretty nice to clear my head and I decided to get a gym pass to get in shape and it should help me to stay fresh in my mind.
Next week preview
I will try to play 500 games. I will keep 2 tabling for the rest of this month, after this month I will wait till I make a stable profit then will I try to start 3 and later 4 tabling again, but for now it's quality above quantity. Most likely will I finish the Mersennearies free book.
My weekgoal is to win 25k ev chips.
Current bankroll 59,-
I will see you guys next week!

I am interested to enroll in a short term 'staking only' program or a long term staking combined with coaching program.
Gl with your goals man, will be following.
Hey!
Week 2 is a week which gave me some mixed feelings. The goal for 500 games was a bit to optimistic for me since I was 2 tabling this week, but still I tried to play a lot of games. In expected value it was a decent week but the results are bad.
Results
When I felt sharp and fit I decided to play 3 tables sometimes, but when I was a bit tired I sticked to 2 tables. However the 3table ITMev went a bit down the earnings per hour ev went up, I think this works fine for me.
Efficiency
At the moment I usually play poker between 8 and 11:30 pm. After dinner I often feel tired, so I think I have to drink some coffee to be sharp enough to play poker. After playing poker I want to sleep but most of the time it's really hard for me to fall in sleep. I am way too busy in my head or the coffee is keeping we awake but I know I have to change this. I am literally throwing away around 7-8 hours during the workweek by not falling in sleep. From now on I will start an experiment to become more efficient. I will play poker from 5:15 to 8:15 am. I will do this approximately 4 times in a working week since I go out for some drinks approximately once a working week and then I will prefer to get my sleep. Next to this I am planning to play around 4-8 hours in the weekend. I will be working on school between 9 and 18:00. I will also try to go to the gym during the school time because the gym is at the campus. This should give me some free evenings to be able to study some poker/ study some investment theories/ study some courses (currently I am in a productivity course) / relax/ hang out with friends and so on.
Preview coming days
I will start playing poker at Monday morning which gives me only 3 more days to play poker in September 2015. I will probably play around 3x3x20=180 games. Wednesday evening I will write a month review with some more detailed information about where my profit and losses are and I will discuss the new month goals. I still have to finish the Mersenneary ebook so I will do that aswell.
The current bankroll from the project is: 80 dollar
I invested 146 dollar in the project bankroll. I had to deposit to take the 64 dollar tilt lost in the first week out of the project which gave me an 14 dollar deposit bonus, so the net. lost from this tilt was 50$ instead of 64$.
And thanks Aaron for your reply, it's nice to get some response!
See you all Wednesday evening with a more detailed update.

hey, enjoying the blog, good to see someone progressing from the micros.
good luck
from my experience, i play better 1 table 2$ than 2 tables 1$.
Hi,
Thanks for your reply, it's an idea to move up in stakes earlier and to start with just 1 tabling. But I don't feel confident with the bankroll management. Since I saw what kind of swings you can get even when you're clearly playing +ev.
If there is anyone who wonder why I haven't wrote a new update, currently I am busy with setting up a student investment group. The update is coming this weekend.

Hey!
Unfortunately I wasn't able to play a lot these week and I had some struggles with getting in the new ritme for my experiment in which I will play from 05:15 to 8:15 around four times a week, during the workweek. I will try to work on this the coming week.
September Review
Playing Poker
* ROI without the chance on 120x 240x 3600x (2,1% extra rake)
Studying Poker
Bankroll
I dind't succeed in the goals (except of Studying Poker). I don't mind that I didn't made the amount of games since I switched from 4 tabling to 2 tabling during the month, but I amn't really happy about my ITM and ROIev's, however I saw that I started playing better during the month so hopefully I will achieve the goals next month.
Week 3 review
Unfortunately it wasn't over a big sample but I am glad to get my first profitable week.
Oktober Preview
I will post updates every Sunday from now on.
Playing poker
Studying poker
I will also try to complete a productivity course which I am following currently.
Bankroll
Probably I will do the bankroll booster once I get closer to the next buy in, but for now I could only play around 3 times a 235 sats a month, which makes me preferring to save my fpps.
Next to these, I decided to cancel all my restrictions, so now I am able to play every game and every level again. However I am not planning to play a lot of tournaments is it nice to have the option. For instance today I played some tournaments with a friend, I didn't succeed in them but sometimes I like it to play some more exciting tournament then the STT's.

next time, could you pls post graph on chipEV/tournament (not chipEV/hand). It is better to me because you are break even if chipEV is about ~ 40/game
Hi cdkvn,
Thanks for your feedback. I searched in HM2 and on the internet but it seems that there is no option to get a graph like you suggested in HM2. The last month I won around 52k chipEV in approximately 700 games, so around 74 chipEV/tournament.
I will switch to PT4 soon and then will I post chipEV/tournament ;)

Hi!
The volume wasn't good last week. For the first time in my 'school career' I have to 'study' and I am struggling with it. Currently I amn't playing a lot of poker since my study is more valuable to me. My exams are coming so I am afraid that the volume won't be big neither coming week. I hope to succeed in my month goals Anyways.

Once I have more time, I will come up with more detailed week reviews. I will also tell you something about my personal development when I am less busy.
Pretty nice that I have won the 25x and the 10x, these where my only 6x+ spins since I started the project.

Hey!
How are you guys doing?
Unfortunately I haven't played a nice sample to show, but I have made a decision. After an interesting conversation with Fabio (from Mizter 8 Journey blog) have I decided to switch to heads up hypers. My major poker year goal is to become a member in the staking program and this should become earlier achievable by playing heads up hypers. I will also pay less rake, have less swings and it should be easier to build a bankroll faster.
I had to focus on my university last week because we had exam week, now can I put effort and time in poker again and I am driven to do that.
Since I am busy with an Investment group as well do I have to save some time, I decided to reduce the amount of updates on this blog to twice a month. I still like this blog and it helps me to stay motivated so I won't give up on it.
I will write a month recap/preview next weekend for Oktober/November.

Hi guys,
I am leaving hu/spin and gos. I have other priorities in life at the moment. As you might know or not (I am not sure if I told you) am I the president from a student investment group. We aren't big but it's a great experience and I am learning a lot. I put a lot of effort in the project and I will keep doing that as long as I will be the president. Next to this do I have to study a lot for univeristy as well. Last week I was able to play only 1 hour in total, since I have quite limited time available for poker, do I prefer to play some tournaments for fun, instead of focussing on studying/playing hu and probably not beating 3,5$+ due to limited time.
I started this project because I thought it was a good use of my time, but unfortunately I don't see it like that anymore.
Thanks for reading my blog and I might return on one day.. full fill the dream!

If you get a chance to update us with your student investment group in the future, please do!
