I just played about 600 Hypers now and currently a little bit worried about my All In EV. Any advice on how to use HM2 to explore major leaks for the beginning?
Played about 1.1k now and I am not only on a value, but also a mental all time down since my 10 month poker break. I digged through HM2 a little bit more so maybe anyone of you can tell me something to my stats.
I highly appreciate any comment! As far as I can see, from SB everything seems to be ok, from BB I'm loosing money in situations where I'm not all in. So I guess I loose money playing postflop poker OOP. Please have a look at the last stats where I filtered by flop betting, check/calling or check/raising.
Worst part seems to be the check/calling pots, although I've read the mers ebook and -12bb/100h should at least be better than folding (100bb/100h). Please help :( If you need any other filtered stats please let me know!
Filtering for all-in vs non-allin is pointless. Similiarly filtering for post is pointless because you have no baseline to compare to and can't easily get one because it depends on your starting range.
Easy leaks to spot from your stats are that your short stack game is very weak. Your vpip OOP is way too low (though that's a misleading stat because it includes limping in it--but likely it's too low anyways) all around, especially short--you likely both 3b too much and flat too little. IP you're not limping at almost at all which is a massive issue shallow.
Looks like studying short stack play should be your priority--make sure when you've very shallow (<5bb) you're using proper Nash push/fold ranges and call shove ranges, deeper make sure to incorporate a lot of limping in SB and understand how your BB play depends on your villain strategy.
I'm a little bit surprised that you advice to work at my shortstack game since I strictly play Push-or-Fold according to nash when effective stacks come down to <8bb, even calling nash from BB.
Do you think limping <8bb stacks is good? Should my flatting range 9-15bb deep be the same as 15-25bb deep?
When you said I probably 3b too much and flat too little I remembered myself pushing every hand vs a minraise that is worth to call a push at given stacksize according to nash call charts when I don't have specific read (<15bb). I think that it was good enough to call a shove and I also gain some foldequity to it.
Do you think it's a big giveaway of edge and playing postflop OOP is better?
Yes you should be limping <8bb. It's very good exploitively and is also part of a balanced strategy.
Your flatting range 9-15bb will be similiar to that 15-25bb but the minr range is different so you'll have to adjust a bit.
Play 3b shove or fold vs minraises <15bb is very unlikely to be a profitable strategy vs almost any player. Nash calling range does not apply to play vs minraises at all--it is strictly for the case that your opponent plays openshove or open fold.
Yes you're clearly giving away a ton of edge. Your results shallow have not been winning, and this is consistent with the strategy you describe.
