Our first ever poker camp came to an end in October. It was a blast! With over a dozen players flying in from ten different countries, it was a lively and fun experience.

The location:

At about 9500 feet (2900 Meters) above sea level, nestled in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, the location was excellent.

There was generally 3 hours of formal coaching in the theatre room (below) per day, with extra hours of sweats/random strategy discussion.

Duncan was the Michael Jordan of bag toss. Bag toss was highly competitive throughout the 2 week camp.

The crew also visited Breckenridge Distillery, afterwards hitting the town and checking out a local absinthe bar. The strongest drink was 88% alcohol by volume.

Ryan and Knut took a break from camp to go to the Great American Beer Festival (below).

Week two started off with an excellent hike about 5 minutes down the road (below).

Disc golf was popular during the second week (below). Coffeeyay wiped out while running down a steep hill (last pic). Knut and Mihkel, AKA Team Estonia, crushed disc golf.

Evan AKA Gripsed led some yoga stretching in week 2.

The hot tub was used quite a bit (below, Gripsed), as was the game room. Drunken 5 cent 10 cent games turned into multi hundred dollar pots in the wee hours of the morning.

Things got a bit crazy towards the end of week 2. Kyle AKA Squire showed everyone the full Scotsman that he is.... literally.

Week 2 concluded with a great trip to Vail ski resort, where seven of us took on some downhill mountain biking on blue and black diamond paths.

The camp turned out to be a fun time for everyone. Food included tacos, steak fajitas, pasta, stew, pork roast, sausages and more! The attendees also received an extended trial of a new advanced HUD after the camp.
