hi guys , i have read in some interview that some of the best player use to raise 45 instead of the classic 40. I don t remember exactly where i read it so i only remember thing like one of the reasons was that is more difficult to 3bet bluff pre and also make easier to pot committing oppo because u raise 1/8 more and not a lot of people change their flatting range from the BB. Maybe i wrote some bullshits but as i said previously i don t remenber exactly where i read it... If anyone can explain me something about that i would be very grateful !!
You use 2.5x or 2.25x when your opponent isn't 3betting but is flatting really wide, just to build the pot a little. And hence extract extra value when we hit, or just have opponent fold flop.
I think that's it, anyway?
Hope this helps
hi adam thank you for your answer, but my questions was mainly focused on top player , not low level player. For example when i play against a fish at 5€ hu i often use to raise 2.5x and 3x with a lot of broadways because they rarely 3bet a flat a lot (as you said in your answer). My questions was about : why top player, which play mainly against other top player, use sometimes this size?? If i remember correctly the guy in the interview was talking about SkaiWalkurrr (not a donkey like me who play 5€ hypers...); i am interested if there is a reason because a 1k$ hu hyper reg could raise (against another reg, not a retarded donkey) 2.25x pre instead of 2x. Thank you man for your answer!!

so it's harder for other to compute pot odd/GTO as it is not standard
