I've been playing hu hypers for some time on pokerstars and been using pokertracker for tracking.i have been wondering a lot however about the ev line. I understand that ev is a good measurement in cash games and even in normal timed tournaments. However in hypers i would think that this would break down and (non) showdown winnings should be better. The reasoning beeing that if you only end up in all in situations with hands that have the other guy beat you would not be agressive enough. If for example someone only goes all in with aa i would imagine his ev graph going up. This would be of course a real bad way to play. The fact he is playing bad would show on the (non) showdown graph since it would go down really quick. Is my reasoning false? Have i understiod the evcalculation? Please help!

When you fold your Ev line goes down by however much you had invested in the pot, and your opponents goes up.
For your example where villain only plays AA his EV line would be terrible as every time he folds his EV line would drop by a SB or BB depending on his position.
Non showdown winnings are not an indicator of skill, only of playing style.

Not bad if i say so myself. I'm doing pretty good, have around $100 + of profit. My problem is that my graph says i've got $400$ profit. Is this graph without rake or something? Will post some more in dept questions tomorrow hopefuly for you to answer :).

EV line is a better indicator of skill period. Even when your approach is to bluff wide and usually get your chips in behind you still have equity in the EV calculations... and all those pots where villain folded will affect the EV line too... you just won the pot with 100% equity (vs a fold).
