$12.50 check back or bluff?

Is this always a check behind or do you turn your hand into a bluff? didnt see him having any Ax in his hand so i thought i could actually bet him off some small flushes. Opinions please :)

BB: 23.5 BB (VPIP: 66.67, PFR: 33.33, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 3)
Hero (SB): 26.5 BB

Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has Kc 2h
Hero raises to 2 BB, BB calls 1 BB

Flop : (4 BB, 2 players) 2s Js 4c
BB checks, Hero checks

Turn : (4 BB, 2 players) Ks
BB bets 1 BB, Hero raises to 3.75 BB, BB calls 2.75 BB

River : (11.5 BB, 2 players) As
BB checks, Hero bets 4.5 BB, BB calls 4.5 BB

Hero shows Kc 2h (Two Pair, Kings and Twos) (Pre 34%, Flop 19%, Turn 89%)
BB shows Ac Jd (Two Pair, Aces and Jacks) (Pre 66%, Flop 81%, Turn 11%)
BB wins 20.5 BB

1.I would generally cbet here unless I thought villain would balance his c/r range because generally speaking your fold equity will be worth more on average than the marginal expectation of bluff catching later streets.

2. Don't design your ranges with any assumptions about low stakes villains folding flushes.

3. Make a note that villain flats AJo @ 24BB, underbets 2nd pair & becomes passive w 2pair when the board gets wetter.

i didnt cbet as i dont want

i didnt cbet as i dont want to get c/r of my hand which has showdown as its a really easy board to c/r as i miss a lot and could just be cbetting, is this logic right or should i cbet pretty much majority of the time ?

Thanks for the reply btw

Yes, like I said => if

Yes, like I said => if villain is c/r bluffing this board enough, we should check back.

If he plays fit or fold, he's not going to have a hand he can continue with here much and you should just cbet and take it down.

You should have a view as to how willing villain is to contest post flop without a hand. Some good indicators of a player who is willing to contest without a hand are:

- high (>20% 3b preflop)

- high c/r (>30%)

- how he plays on boards where no one has anything (eg. 644 r)

Your decision should be framed within the context of villain's tendencies.

The considerations are:

1. How often has he connected with the board based on his OOP flatting range ?

2. How often does he c/r bluff in this spot ?

3. If I check back, how does he play the turn and river ? => note some players will take it as a green light to 2barrel the turn & river if you cap your checking back range by only including weak SDV hands.

Against a nitfish I would just cbet.

Against a spewtard its still close because they're going to put you in tough spots on later streets if you check back anyway.

Against a thinking player, he will probably have a c/r bluff range here but it probably won't be wide enough that you're losing too much expectation by bet folding.
