3 bet shoving equity calculator question

When using the 3-bet shoving equity calculator, is folding always -1bb? For example, you hold QT off suit at 20bb effective stacks and opponent (50% opening range) min raises.  The calculator says QT has -0.29bb in equity.  Does this mean shoving is BETTER than folding?  Or is folding 0bb, making shoving worse?

Dunno what calculator you are

Dunno what calculator you are talking about, but usually folding the BB is -1.00 BB and anything that is better than -1.00BB will increase your ev eventually. Once you have a big enough sample size you also can make data base analysis with what hands you increast your loss rather then reducing it.

If you are talking about mine

If you are talking about mine folding is 0bb. It calculate the EV of the 3 bet shove and not the overall strategy (and it says after posting. That's also why the EV number go red under 0 :) ) So -0.29BB is 0.29 worst than folding.Hope this help

If your calculator is the one

If your calculator is the one on this website, then yes I'm referring to yours. That helps.  Thanks a lot.

Just call!!!

Iam not folding I call, and if its QT suited a shuff. If I know that my opponent is doing that, when the blinds going up I shuff QT off or even 3bet (1.time in the game) , playing superturbos on Titan.

Hi Caribboy,   My question

Hi Caribboy, My question was actually about how the EV calculator works.  I used QT off suit purely as a hypothetical example :) Thanks for your input though.
