3 Similar spots vs same villain

Hi,

Just want to check these spots to help me in future.

Games is $22. So far it has been pretty standard up to this point with the button taking most pots. Villain has -11% ROI at these stakes from small 60 game sample.

He has not really got out of line yet. He floated me with Ace high twice on low boards - donk led one when hit ace on turn and checked down other.

Same game - Should I be making such a thin value bet on the river after he has shown such an interest? should I have tried to keep pot smaller earlier? (I tried to leave myself with enough to play Jam fold if he called with better, but maybe not such a good idea to risk the match if he pushed??)

Hand 1 I call this. The

Hand 1
I call this. The flush draw missed, unless he flopped a straight he didn't hit his straight draw, and I just don't see him calling 2 strong cbets with an 8. His river bet seems like a "pleeeeeeeease fold" bet...so I'd call. Make a note if he shows up with an 8!

Hand 2
I like the way you played that. When he calls your flop 3bet, I'd put him on a flopped straight, draw, or a pair of 7s/8s. I doubt he'd call with a pair of 6s. The river's a brick imo, so nothing really changes. I like your betsizing because it still allows worse to call, and anything that beats you, would probaly reraise. The river sucks a bit, but we can't really put him on a Q the way he played it. Your river betsizing is good again imo because it prices in worse hands to make a bad call.

Hand 3
Also like how you played this! You have to bet on the flop for protection, and he'd reraise with anything that beats you. The turn cbet is good too because nothing really changed, and if he called on the flop, he'll call this as well. The play I like the most is what you did on the river! If he's hit his straight, tough luck...but assuming we're still ahead of most of his range, checking to allow him to bluff is great :)

Thx Rad Hand 1 - I was more

Thx Rad
Hand 1 - I was more worried about my 2 pair being conterfitted on the river I think. He had floated with ace high a couple of of times before. I didn't think he'd be foating K high or worse (unless he had st8 draw maybe). So in my mind, I felt all I could beat was a bluff or some weird 9x hand. He might of even called with the 8, I dunno. I didn't likr it too much anyway :( He played it pretty strong, but I suppose after seeing his other hands, he could easily of been bluffing.
Cheers for the comments anyway :)

Hands

I like how you played hand 1 and 2. I think that T8 is well within his range and on rare occasion I see someone slow play a straight to the river like this. His line doesn't make sense for very many hands, but I don't see people do this as a bluff very often. I think that calling this river bet would be a mistake without a read that implies he can make similar moves.
Hand 3 we are only beating a bluff and it seems weird for him to show up with a bluff on this board for how it played out. Also, given the previous hand he doesn't strike me as the type to be shoving missed draws on the river. I don't think that 96 is going to take this down often enough to be worth calling. I'm sure some people will disagree with me though. For what its worth, I would have lead 175 on this river to get value from 5X or 7X. If he shoved I wouldn't be very happy, but with the extra 175 in the pot I'd have to reconsider whether I thought he could be bluffing.

Thx - Yeah, hand 3, I think

Thx -
Yeah, hand 3, I think I basically ended up leveling myself into calling. I actually tanked for quite a while as I checked, kind of with the intention to fold to a jam. Then I started thinking that he's probably spewing from last hand and also that checking is just like inviting him to shove etc etc, then ended up hitting the call button (although, I like rad's explanation of the hand better than mine:) makes it seem like I was thinking more than I was ;) )
But yeah, thanks for your thoughts, maybe I shouldn't make a habit of check calling these spots.

Hand 3

Just to make my comment more clear, I don't think that the 3 is a huge portion of his range so I'd expect him to have 5 or 7 here most of the time. These hands will check behind so that is my reasoning for betting. The bet is small because they probably won't call much.
