$30 turbo AKo pre

8 hands so far and no special read. normally I would raise here bigger or shove after his min3bet. But at this time I would try a new line. After my little 4bet I would call an shove but this small 5bet looks very very strong and smells I have a monster please shove it.Is stop and go a better option after his 5bet because we can push on every flop if he checks but what if we miss it and he shoves? Jesus I hate AK early :)   No Limit Holdem Tournament • 2 Players Hand converted by the official HUSNG.com hand converter BBsteve5s51590  BTNHero1410  Effective Stacks: 71bb Blinds 10/20 Pre-Flop (30, 2 players) Hero is BTN Hero raises to 60, steve5s5 raises to 120, Hero raises to 280, steve5s5 raises to 480, Hero goes all-in 1410,

1) why a new line after 8

1) why a new line after 8 hands?! 2) 4/bet fold is rarely good against a good player, but is often applied against fish... I usually 4bet small against weak players to be able to fold to a shove (AA-KK) that is why i do it against bad players. as this is hand 8 and you have absolutely no clue about this vilain i don't really see the use off this play with AK

You'd need absolutely insane

You'd need insane reads to ever fold AK @ 71bb HU. Even if they're never bluffing, it's not easy for them to dominate you because of your blockers. It's a mandatory shove but I'd make the 4-bet bigger without a dynamic. 71bb effective = 1420pot size = 280 + 480, or 760 assuming 0, fold equity from a shove, we can consider the Villain all-in Hero has to call off 1420-280, or 1140Call Formula: call/(pot+call) * 100 = % win1140/([760+(1420-480)]+1140) * 100 = 40.14another way to think about it is 1140/(1420*2) * 100  The question is if we're going to have equity equal to or better than 40.14% vs their range. AKo vs a range of TT+ and AK has 40.39% equity. This is an incredibly tight range for HU and we're still making a mistake to fold. The small 5-bet looks strong and maybe you'd only expect this line with QQ+ but there's always that 10% spaz/induce factor or the odd line with a hand like AQ. If we only add AQ to their range, we're suddenly over 49% equity because pairs are so rare.
