I think your check raise is

I think your check raise is too small, if you choose to check riase. But I guess you have to think what are you going to get value from by getting him to shove and what are you going to get value from by getting him to flat. I think a larger check raise makes the hand play easier. He'll fold his weak range and you still have good equity (50/50) against his shoving range. The other option)is to flat for pot control (it is still early and not a huge pot after his small 30 bet) and have a look at the turn. Lead the turn if your hand improves or fold to a bet if the board is too scary.I think you ended up with the worst of both worlds with a big pot and a scary board and a turn decision.Thats my opinion anyway. And also, I dont think I

And also, I dont think I would of called on the river. There are very few hands that called flop and turn that didnt make a nice hand by the river.A2, A7, 78, trips and flushes are very likely as well as all the junk 7x and 2x that people call with early on.

I would slow down on the turn

I would slow down on the turn here, and also like fuseo's comments about check raising the flop larger, it'll be more ideal and put is in more valuable spots on latter streets most often.  Don't let their smaller bet sizes impact your check raise sizing all that much, I see a lot of players totally letting the bet size determine their raise size (though you don't necessarily do it here, I'm talking more about players that raise to 90 in this situation, I still think you're a little smaller than ideal here though).I also agree with check folding a lot in this spot.  Unless you see a player playing over pairs and Ax with a 3x preflop raise and limping, folding and smaller raising other hands, their average betting range is just too strong on such an ugly turn card.
