Hi everybody!I've started playing turbo HU SNG's a couple of weeks ago on stars, I'm enjoying it so far and have had decent results at the $3.50 level (although over a small sample). Recently I noticed PS also runs 4-man HU SNG's. I was wondering if there are big difference's between single-table games and the 4-man HU SNG's regarding risk/reward. See, I'm not really considering these for grinding because I don't like to sit around waiting if my table is over faster then the other one in the first round and I'm not yet skilled at multi-tabling heads-up. So I'm mainly asking this out of curiosity. I've tried searching the forums but I couldn't really find anything. This is what I got after playing with the numbers. It's a winner take al structure so at the $3.50 level you get $13.28 after winning two rounds. Let's assume your winrate at single-table HU SNG's is 60%. Is it then correct to say that your winrate at the 4-mans is approximately 36%? This would mean you'd win 13.28*0.36=4.78 for a net profit of 1.28 or 36.59%. However, 36% seems like an awfull lot. What am I doing wrong here? I got the winrate by multiplying the odds of winning two heads-up games in a row (0.6*0.6=0.36), is this an error?
http://www.husng.com/content/4-man-vs-2-mans-roiSkates also wrote an in depth thread on 2p2 about 4 man vs 2 mans. It's linked here on HUSNG somewhere, but 2p2 is currently down so you'll have to wait for that (if you're good with this kind of stuff, you can retrieve the cached version of the article, otherwise just wait until 2p2 is back up in another few days - week).I think your #s are fine, assuming you win 60% of you games (that is a LOT for anybody in any game to be honest, especially today where structures are shorter stacked and faster paced). You have to remember, you're playing twice as long (at least) compared to a 2 man, so you can't just compare ROIs directly (look at hourly rates for a decent metric of comparison).
