One of the first few hands of match vs unknown. Only noteworthy point opponent double bet pot on the flop in limped pots.I was thinking hes unlikely to have a premium hand when he flats pre instead of a 3 bet. On the flop I checkraise pot conscious I'm leaving a pot sized bet, again when opponent just flats I considered a pocket pair maybe he flopped a pair witha decent kicker and maybe a flush draw. Third diamond turns, I do consider its not the greatest card for me but think I'm still likely to be ahead and so I'm happy to get it in. Can I/ should I ever slow down at this point?CheersAnt

Can't see ever folding Top pair top kicker in this spot. Maybe you could have shoved the flop.
Can you explain why you chose to checkraise (and not c-bet) one of the first few hands of the match with no reads?
Good point, I figured his one move previous had been aggressive and that I was likely way ahead, also figured theres a good chance he would utilise position and cbet which I was comfortable with so wasn't unhappy with the check raise to extract a few extra chips, but do agree most of the time I should cbet oop when I 3bet pre.
