Articles

I think the site is great and I've learned a lot. If possible I'd like to see more articles about concepts and interview type stuff.

Also, how about some written

Also, how about some written hand history reviews from the coaches?? That would be cool. I do a long train journey each week and it would be nice to print off and have some reading material.

I'm sure they are fairly time consuming to do, but I think most of you guys probably do them for students anyway, so maybe you could just get them to agree to put them up or something.

I don't go on 2+2 that much but the Spamzor HH's are probably my favourite threads (they have made my train journey seem alot quicker;)). Maybe you could get a couple of guests to do it too. The ones that aren't to keen on making videos might do something like this??

I wouldn't mind an insight

I wouldn't mind an insight into one of the coaches general apporach to their sessions. Along the same lines of Ry's 'getting a coach' article, looking at how they prepare for each session, if they have a routine or system they follow or if they jump straight in.

Mindset/Auto-piloting

I think an article on mental  preparation and discipline would be cool and very helpful to nearly everyone.  I personally don't play my "A" game nearly enough and find myself making mediocre decisions because I struggle to maintain a disciplined and focused frame of mind.

Another idea would be an article about combating auto-piloting because I've talked to lots of players who also tend to do this and it prevents them from getting better and moving up.  Not being creative enough or not analyzing your opponent specifically enough commonly result from auto-piloting.

Totally agree

Def. the auto-piloting. I'm constantly trying to battle this & find myself in a rollercoaster situation where I battle it & play A-game then complacency sets in & I auto-pilot & results drop.

yes, a mindset/autopilot

yes, a mindset/autopilot would be very nice, i think most of the players struggle with this subjects....

Endgame oop and against "non-standard" opponents

I would really love to see some article about endgame play which specifically targets how you play oop and against "non-standard" opponents.

With a "non-standard" opponent I mean someone who doesn't either play shove-fold or minraise/fold when effective stacks get shallow, but does "weird" things like limping (below 7-8 bb effective stacks) or 3x'ing, etc. - or he has been shove-folding / minraise/folding all the time and now suddenly does something different.

Another topic is when we're minraising a very wide range on the button and get 3-bet or shoved for the first time, what's our calling range ?

Or in general, if we see our opponent do something for the first time in the end game, how should we react ?

An interview with Collin

An interview with Collin Moshman would be great, about his book and husng game

Good idea, surprised I did

Good idea, surprised I did not think about that previously.

Just emailed Collin, I'll let you know if he's able to do this or not when I know.  I'd like to reread the book again so I can get some detailed questions to him about it.  If there's enough interest we can take user questions as well, though let's make sure he's ok with doing it first.

Hopefully he is OK with it

Apparently stoxpoker is merging with Cardrunners on May 1st. So I am hoping Mr. Moshman is not too busy right now. On his website www.collinmoshman.com he claimed he will go to CardRunners, so where Moshman goes I will follow :)
