Best game to build a bank roll?

Hey guys,

I've been on a rollercoaster ride for the last few months with my bankroll, mainly because I switched a lot between the different forms, I started out grinding microstakes cash until I had around 1k, then blew 300$ on mtt's, made it back to 1500 with cash, blew another 500$ on 50nl HU and some mtt's. and I then withdrew pretty much everything but left myself with 150, And started playing husng's.

I was on a heater playing the 7$ turbo's and my br went up to 500$ In a week,

This week hasn't been going so good tho and I'm back to 425$, I really don't know to what games I should stick tho.

I have a 12.5% roi over a useless sample of 350 in the turbo's, and i've only played just a few hyper turbo's, So I have no real idea of what my winrates are.

anyway my question is this:

What game is best to build a br with? My goal is to build my BR to around 2k so I can move to HU cash.

I noticed the ht's at the 7$'s are way weaker than the turbo's, and I found them way more enjoyable, but obviously the lower variance in the turbo's also sounds good to me.

Also, I've put some time into studying the turbo's, But the hypers are a completely different game, Is it wise to start out by investing in a video pack?

thanks!

Nah I've played them for a

Nah I've played them for a long time, but just playing 6max day in day out gets really boring, especially at 5/10NL,
The main reason i play poker is because I like the game, but grinding the microstakes really isn't fun.

If you don't stay disciplined

If you don't stay disciplined in the low stakes, within your proper bankroll management, you'll never succeed in the higher stakes either.
What heads up cash level did you plan on playing with a 2k bankroll? I'd think that 25NL HU would drain you with rake, and anything higher would be too thin for a 2k bankroll.
I would stick with turbos since you're doing very well so far. Mix in hypers if you want, and once you get a bankroll for it you can mix in some hu cash too if you want (but really look at the rake so you can decide when hu cash makes sense, don't play low stakes hu cash if the rake is brutal, it usually is too).
I'd suggest a video pack only if you are playing a lot. And if you are playing a lot and want to look at some good videos to improve, I'd suggest the premium pack to start for you. It has some Barewire deep stack sng and hu cash videos (both good for hu cash), and it has plenty of good turbo and hyper videos. That will cover any game you decide to play. There's nothing wrong with rotating, as long as you're a strong learner, it's often a great change of pace to mix 2-3 different games, and honestly 2 or 3 different heads up games will certainly have differences, but plenty of strengths from each will help you. Deep stack play really helps you play good postflop and learn how to make big adjustments over long samples with big information. The shorter stack structures really help you improve your decision making with less information, it allows you to get used to the quickly changing strengths of hands against different opponent types at 7-25bb stacks (in both position and OOP).
