Hes called 63% and 3bet 13% on the flop hes called 40% and c/r 20%.is this a good hand to check back on? if not why not?on the river the bet sizing made me think it might be like a blocker bet from a weaker 9 or a 7 not wanting to call a bet. What sort of range would you give a villain here? would you call?
I think it's a fine check back on the flop. You have decent equity here, but if villian CRs you you're going to have to fold most of the time. I like turn sizing. I think river is pretty close, I'd expect him to lead out most 9x on the turn if he's decently aggressive, and probably most of his FDs/straight draws. Seems to me like most of the time when he c/calls turn he has some sort of weak SD value. Ax/Kx/7x/2x/33-66/88.On the river I wouldn't expect him to bet out any of his SD value besides the 2x. So I think most of the time if he's VBing here you're beat, but I'd probably just click call anyways you get some info on how he plays his hands. And there's also probably a decent chance here he's just spazzing out.
I think we have enough equity on flop to bet 60 and call any decent sized raise (like up to 240) and evaluate turn.
Given the small sample and the fact that 20% c/r isnt insanely high, I´d probably just cbet the flop but I dont hate the c/b.Turn play looks fine, river is definitely weird. No idea how he can show up with 2x here and I dont think a flush is very likely. At the same time, people rarely use this line as a bluff. So I think your question is spot on: is he block betting worse/betting worse for value? Given the great odds, I would probably call him and take a note.
We only have a 30 hand sample. But if he is calling 60% oop and folding flop 40%, I think cbet is best to fold out his random air. We also have enough equity to continue vs a check raise. Also he will flat our cbet some % of the time. Giving us lots of oppurtunities to two and three barrel him.

cbet is a must, it's a low flop, our range is wider as pre flop raiser, we have no real showdown value, we have to bet here, 45-60 is fine. His C/R tendencies are not crazy enough to warrant check back with this specific hand as HU.TIME indicated. AS PLAYED: never folding river personally, our hand is too strong and getting too good of a price to make hero fold without a specific reason to. WP if you called.
