Hello EveryoneFirst of all; No, this is not another 'classy' BRM-Thread. My Problem is, that I switched, abouth a month or so, from 9 player Turbo SNGs to HU Turbo SNGs. I also gave a try to hypers on Stars...which killed my motivation and I had to move anyway, so I took a break of a couple of weeks. Now I wanna enter the HU SNGs (Turbo, this time for real) again. To my question; I currently do have a Bankroll of ~900$. Now there are lots of Posts which mention that you can play the 20$ to 30$ with ~30'-35 BIs if you are capable to move down.My problem is that just do not feel like this would be good for me. I would rather prefer to make my mistakes, which I for sure still have since HU is still very new to me, on the lower limits (like as 7$). Does it make sense to go from the 7$ directly to the 30$ if I feel like it or should I go trough the 15$? Or is it even so, that the skill difference between 7$ and 15$ is not that big at all? 60 BI for the Turbo 15$ SNGs seems to be more than enough IMO.
You can always play lower than the recommended "shot taking" or "aggressive" bankroll strategies.Especially starting out, if you can convince yourself to play lower it will be a good/fine idea (often players just really seem to have no problem pushing their bankrolls and risk to the max, so this is a refreshing change in a few ways). The only potential issue to keep in mind, as you start to win, make sure you don't stay at one level too long if you're clearly beating the players you face with a good edge.If you end up beating $7s for awhile, I would move up to $15, but if you have the bankroll you can skip a level or two if you truly want to. The skill of the players shouldn't go up too drastically each level, or even every 2 levels for the most part (how you run with variance and if you keep focused and playing your A game will realistically probably impact your perception moreso).
When do you say I beat the specific level?
Thanks for the input RyPacI am kinda glad, that I did not start on the 15$ or even 30$'s...I am notecing leak over leak over.....well....leak :ÞI think it makes the situation kinda worse, that I did run freakin hot on my last 100 (or so), 9-Player-Turbo-SNGs. I managed to get in HU - or generally in the money - hell of a lot and literally destroyed most of my opponents there. But than again, the final two - HU - of a 9 Player SNG is played COMPLETELY different and I think I need to erase my knowledge, which still considers ICM as an important factor (which is not true for HU SNGs, since ChipEV and $EV are the same).Gotta kick those old habbits in the ....
