As said in the title thread...
I bring here an example
Seat 1: Hero(2460 in chips)
Seat 2: Villain (540 in chips)
Villain: posts small blind 25
Hero: posts big blind 50
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to Hero[Kh 7c]
Villain: raises 490 to 540 and is all-in
Hero: calls 490
*** FLOP *** [Ah Jh 5h]
*** TURN *** [Ah Jh 5h] [Td]
*** RIVER *** [Ah Jh 5h Td] [9h]
*** SHOW DOWN ***
Hero: shows [Kh 7c] (a flush, Ace high)
Villain: shows [9c Kd] (a pair of Nines)
Hero collected 1080 from pot
I don't know... if it is a leak or pretty standard so... let's discuss...;)
I tent to call villains with K7+. QJ+, any ace and any pair... but due to the bad run, I don't know if my play is correct or no
Well, you're down to effective stacks of about 11 big blinds. That makes calling an all-in with K7 at least an unexploitable play. Against a totally random hand you're 55% to win; against the top 30% of hands you're only about 40%.
So I guess it depends on your opponent; if he's way too aggressive for his own good, K7 may be an insta-call; if he tends to be tight, I'd probably need A7+, KT+, 66+ to call.
If you think this is purely a spite-raise, I guess you may lower your requirements, but I certainly wouldn't go lower than QT+, K6+, A2+, 22+.
Just my 2 cents...
