Bizzare concept however........Lateley when all the money goes in pre, for whatever reason, I just close my eyes and listen rather than watch the action.If you are ahead in chip count prior to the money going in ,after the "ship it" money sound has gone you are waiting for the serene sound of nothing, signifying victory. It is a beautiful silence. I find this a much less stressful way to play. What's the point of seeing his one outer hit on the river? I have no sound on as it is during games, but it's an interesting idea!Another approach is to just try to let it go, try to realize that you'll lose some, win some and so on and focus on playing your game and making your own decisions that you can actually control. Easier said of course.
funny... sometimes i do something similar. after the chips go in i will cover my opponents cards or in situations where i am shoving ATC pre, i will sometimes cover my cards and ship it.guess it helps to reduce some of the anxiety...

Yeah, I found it easier to just not watch when it all goes in preflop. The flop, turn and river can induce heart attacks. If villain is still alive then we continue to play and I don't bother checking "last hand" to see how I got bad beat.

I will cover my eyes and peek through them to look at just the next card... all this while using my brain power to transmit waves to the poker server on what card I would like to see hit next. This works 100% for a certain % of the time.
