Hi,
I've been having some issues lately at the low stakes with overbets, a typical hand would look something like this;
In the big blind with 78suited, button raises to 60 preflop, I flat. Flop comes 9QK with 2 of my suit, villian leads for either full pot or a bit over like 140-180. Obviously he feels he's hit something and my 7 and 8 are unlikely outs, is there any reason to ever call this?
I know a lot is read dependant, and in some situations we can just ship (late game with good reads/fold equity) but how about early game? 60-75 BB deep, is it worth calling 1 street hoping to hit or that he shuts down on the turn, giving us 2 shots at the flush? Or is this an instant muck? This situation seems to come up more and more these days and I am a little unsure on how to act.
I'd also like some advice on late game, i've had a few matches where i've been down to 900 chips with either 20/40 blinds or 25/50 and suddenly go through a run of 10-15 hands that are seemingly unplayable (82o 93o 24o etc.) and so I give up a lot of chips folding these, again i know this is opponent dependant but how can you avoid just giving off a ton of free chips? I try to limp some of them and I try to raise a few if i've lost 4-5 pots in a row but i just seem to get flatted and then donk bet into on a flop i've missed. Would love some advice here.
Thanks for any responses :)
