December challenge! fun micro prop bet

Hello,I was thinking of making a little fun challenge prop bet for the next month of december. The challenge will be who can get the highest ROI for heads up sngs in december. To qualify you need to at least play 100 games in the month of december 2010 in 1 poker site under 1 poker nick.It will cost 5 dollars to participate and at the end of the month the person with the highest ROI (according to sharkscope) will get 5 dollars from all of the participants. The other participants can then transfer funds to the poker account of the winner.I just thought it could be a fun challenge to make everyone more motivated to grind their A game in the last month of the year :)If you want to participate in the challenge then please reply to this thread by writing the site and nick name you wish to enter the challenge with (you can enter with more nicks if you want it just cost extra 5 usd :))I will start:Pokerstars; Curdcokane

I'm quite awful and am

I'm quite awful and am essentially free money, but I am in as well. It's not a big deal since it's only $5 but maybe get an escrow too.Mr Monkeytilt; Full Tilt

would be better with an escrow :P + what about different games? i play ftp turbo's so my ROI will be way lower than a stars regular speed player

Sure we can try and see if

Sure we can try and see if someone wants to be escrow, no problem there. Otherwise I will make sure the winner gets paid by annoying people who hasnt paid the winner or something lolyeah i thought about the difference in the games too but kind of hard to do anything about it.

Well, the problem I see here

Well, the problem I see here is that even a pro may not be able to beat an intermediate player in this challenge - at least not over time and overall +EV in terms of time / price money. Most members here can probabably do something around 15% in $1 reg speeds, single-tabling and fully focused on the game.  However, just think about how much time this'll cost.If you're a $50+ turbo speed regular, then you have absolutely no chance of competing in this challenge unless you also step down and only play reg speeds at the micro stakes.  Playing these 100 games probably takes at least some 15-20 hours if you only single-table - time during which you win close to nothing compared to your normal stakes - so it's basically not worth entering unless the price money is at least 20 times your hourly.                                                                                  * * *I think for this to really work out, everyone needs to play the same game, same format, same buy-in, same speed, same poker site.Or what would you guys think about doing something like a husng league, where we only play against each other and not against some random fish ?Maybe something like 50 players maximum, everyone plays each other player 3 times (150 games), then 16 best advance to some kind of play-off / shoot-out model ?And it'd probably make sense to do this over a longer period of time than just one month to compensate for the higher number of games.

The prop bet challenge was

The prop bet challenge was just meant as a fun 1 month prop bet.I am aware that turbo vs reg, low stakes vs high stakes all impact the roi + the fact that it is only over 1 month and 100 games. But its not supposed to be directly comparable as it is just supposed to be a mean to increase the competetivness in ourselves. So if we get enough entrants (like 4+) for this, this december prop bet challenge is still on.I like your idea of a HU tournament very much, which I will def consider but this a bit more demanding project to set-up so maybe this should be in another individual thread?
