Hi, My response was that we

Hi,My response was that we are certainly open to this idea but we would need a good italian translator who was interested in doing this within the right type of deal.I'll get even more specific here so everybody can understand where I'm coming from and perhaps somebody is out there that is interested.Throughout my time in the poker world, it has become apparent to me that mutually beneficial deals are really superior to any other type of serious agreement.  You don't want to spend your time making sure somebody is doing the right thing if you can ensure success by self motivation. And in the poker world, particularly with foreign language videos, it is very tough to figure out what kind of a market there is.  Therefore, our interest lies mostly in creating video packs of foreign language videos and entering an agreement with the translator based on the amount of sales.  Not only does this limit our risk (since we would pay a percentage of each sale) but it also directly aligns incentive to the translator to promote the product in various avenues (foreign forums, tournaments, etc.)  If it was an english speaking product, I'd happily find ways to promote it and get visibility for it, but since I don't speak italian or spanish or german or french, it is much more natural for a translator to do that type of work. So, rather than take a shot in the dark on paying somebody to translate some videos, and being responsible both for checking the quality of their work, promoting it and selling it, sharing that burden can ensure that the translations are done at a higher quality (obviously a pack of translated videos has to be of solid quality to sell, so the translator will have to do a good job, another positive to having this type of agreement). In addition to italian, we're most interested in french, spanish, german and probably even portugese and dutch. We're most interested in somebody who can do a good translation job and who is also interested in working to promote these videos in the various forums and websites frequented by these types of players.  We're happy to directly compensate you for the success that these videos have and we can talk to any prospective people in depth.  Just email us membership [at] husng [dot] com and we'll take a look.

tbh i don´t think there is a market for german(translated) videos. The basics are covered already by pokerstrategy.com and every1 beyond that level understands english anyway. Most of the "german" pokerlanguage isn´t even translated into german. Its Bet,Call, Check,Raise,Donk, flop, turn, river etc.

Thanks for that

Thanks for that information. We don't really have a firm idea of what any of these markets look like, as a lot of it is dependent on how well it is marketed/promoted.But the translator will be taking much of the risk (as well as reward of course) if they choose to translate and promote the product. If I thought it was a great source of revenue I would have paid translators over a year ago to translate the content, but as you said, many players are already familiar enough with the language to watch the english videos and general strategy sites are more equiped and are marketed more towards the totally "new to poker" player.
