Questions

1) Tell me about your start in poker

I first started in poker probably during my teenage years, playing as a hobby with my family and using beans as chips (lol). Without betting any real money, of course. Back then, another variant of poker was more common in Brazil -- the five-card draw. Anyway, it was just a weekend hobby, to integrate the family, nothing serious.

Poker as it is today -- Texas Hold 'Em -- I got in touch about 7 years ago, watching tournament broadcasts on ESPN. Then I got interested and searched further information on the Internet. I found out there were softwares that made online gaming possible. Since then, my interest in poker grew more and more.

However, I only started playing professionally in 2010, when I was 23, right after i broke up with my girlfriend and finished university. I was so depressed at the time and had absolutely nothing to do (besides no motivation)... so i took a shot at poker. It was a sum of factors and a very specific period in my life that I got motivated to pursue a dream I've had for a long time... and fortunately everything worked out.

2) Do you gamble on other games, maybe sports betting?

Yea, I like to gamble a lot with friends, but just for fun, some silly bets like "who´s gonna get some girl first" or "who´s gonna drink faster" when we are in night clubs, for instance. I also like sports betting, but i would definitely lose a lot of money if I get into them, so I try to avoid it hahah.

3) Do you believe that husng could be solved completely (mathematically) ever?

No, because we deal with incomplete information in poker, it's not like checkers, for example. Besides, there is a lot of subjective elements in poker that you can´t quantify - and they are always changing. So I´m pretty sure it can´t be solved.

4) Could you honestly say, how much time do you spend on educating yourself (comparing to playing)?

To be honest, not much at the moment. I am kinda lazy, as most of poker players, hehe. I´ve used to study a lot, but nowadays I consider myself more of a self-taught poker player.
