ev charts in bb vs. sitngo wiz

Hi, I hope the question is not to silly and its the correct forum. When I look at the husng ev charts, I see the ev in bigblinds. What bigblind do you refer to? Say you're playing a hyperturbo, two players with 500 chips each, the bb at the first hand was 20 and has inreased to 40, Does "ev = -0,5 bb" in the chart mean "you will loose 10 chips in average" or "..20 chips.."? When I compare this to the stngowiz, they are dealing with an "edge" and an edge of 1,0 means (hopefully I am right)  10 chips in an 2x500 starting stack, so I have to divide the actual blind by ten to compare this with the kind of chart you are dealing with here? Thx in advance. Ducks

-0,5bb does mean that you

-0,5bb does mean that you lose on average 0,5bb. Some software may show BB which is a Limit holdem term. 1BB (Big Bets) = 2 bb (big blinds).
You have a wrong understanding of the 'edge' SNG Wizard uses. The ICM does have it flaws, for example it does not allow to give credit enough to future play. The edge (which you can manually adjust) is the try of the creator of SNG Wizard to fix this leak. Actually there are lots of things one could do useing the edge but little people know about it. Douglas 'pzhon' Zare for example ones explained how one could include the circumstances of haveing to post the bb in the next hand, by useing a certain %ual discount on edge.
But aside of him and maybe Colin I rarely saw anyone useing this method.
Anyways; you should not work with the SNG Wizard if you wish to analyze your ranges. The biggest problem the SNG Wizard has is that he does not allow you to make ranges flexible. Sure, you can exclude the top 5% of your 32% range, but you cannot remove any specific hand. Tools like ICMIZER do allow to do so and are therefore way better, if you are serious about working on your ranges.
