Hey everyone, the question here is:do you take the most of each video by thinking with (and not only listening to what he says) the instructor in every comment he makes and making your own analysis?do you rewind when you listen to the instructor reasoning about a certain hand but don´t understand/don´t agree with him/ is not sure whether you agree or not? I think I could have taken much more out of HUSNG videos, especially Mers´ videos, which pretty frequently I don´t understand his reasoning for a certain play but go on with the video because I´m tired/lazy/ not in my best mental state for whatever reason. Feels like I´ve wasted a lot of value by not doing what I know I should always be doing.Don´t have the time right now to fix a lot of stuff because of college obligations, but plan to fix this behavior during the initial months of 2012.
You hit the nail on the head here. It's what you do with what is available to you that counts most.
I usually makes some notes while I am watching the video. If I do, I of course will pause the video. Personally, and I have been watching lots of videos, I think that sometimes it makes more sense to write down the questions you have and finish the video. This is because, sometimes, the question answers itself, if you finish the video, simply, because the coach was 'completing the picture'.Other than that, I do not think that it is possible (for anybody) to get everything out of a video by only watching it once. The same is true for poker books. Reading is not != reading. You can read a book and learn nothing at all or you work trough it.How is common poker saying? First you need to admit, that you do know nothing at all....
Hi.
well let's say it that way best is if you really sit there and focus only on the video , if you can't do that you probably shouldn't watch it or you will only get a small % of what is said in the video.Taking notes is fine, tho don't take too much may mess up with your head. And pause while taking some.
