So I bought my first video pack and while it might be a mistake on my part by not reading the small print I really don't get why it has an expiration date? I've assumed I was buying a lifetime access to the course videos and the subforum. I mean if husng.com goes bankrupt/disappears one day, so be it but other than that I don't really see any good reason for this? I mean there is no DRM and it's not like I'm going to download it 2 times a day, so server load shouldn't really be an issue either. This is really problematic and kinda discourages me from buyingany other packs in the future cause now I always have to remember to make a backup in case of a hdd failture, windows reinstall etc.
So yeah, one simple question, why?
You can email us for access again.
We put a limit on it to help decrease some account sharing issues and policing of that, since it would quickly use up extra resources.
I don't think we can go bankrupt, since we don't take risk that could result in bankruptcy + the way the site works, if it wasn't +EV to sell new content, we could scale back, just sell old stuff and the minimum costs of running the site could be scaled back to less than 1k a year probably (downgraded server, no staff, no webmaster, just me updating the security and spam of the site and that's basically it).
But, we could very well be sold at some point in the future and whoever buys it could change policies, so it's a good idea to always keep the videos you purchased backed up. I'd of course make sure they took care and honored existing purchases and such if we ever sold, but after a sale takes place, policies can certainly change, so definitely try to back everything up when you can (and if you need it again, I'm happy to give you access, just email us).
