Hello, so has you probably guys know, there is a big heads up tournament in 10days on full tilt. 1st price is 24k for the moment.I would like to know if you guys have some tips to get far on this tournament, just play normal? On normal heads up, im willing to shove AK and TT+ preflop at any blinds. I guess on the tournement im going to be a little more tight, im I right to think this? Cause I think that I want to play postflop on this tournament and find the nuts to be sure to dont get suckout. Gambling isnt going to be enough when you need to win lots of games in a row.... whats u guys opinions?/Roamus
Hey Roamus, best of luck in the tournament. I think some of your thoughts here are good, but mainly its just focusing on the +EV situations. In order to do well, you're going to have to have your fair share of luck as well. I haven't looked at the lobby but you'll have to win probably 10+ matches in a row to do well (if its $55 buyin and $24k for first). Since it will be deep stack tournament (3000 chips stack), you will have enough time to make reads on your opponents and find a good spot to risk all your chips. I'd suggest "slow" start, many small pots to feel villain's style.You can also try to play some deep stack husng before tournament, and watch some videos. In addition to Brent's series, you can find 3 old videos by Skates, where he played deep stack matches against famous pros on Stars.
