Hi, nice video again.
With regards the first hand where you only had to win 22.5% of the time to make the call which you felt wasn't enough and so folded I thought I would just write the calculation down so I know where to look for it in the future to quickly remind myself and hopefully others can as well.
If we consider these variables:
A= amount to call
Pb= pot before his bet
&
Pa= pot after you have called his bet
then we can use either of the equations below to calculate the pot odds of calling:
(i) ( 100 x A ) / ( 2A + Pb )
Or
(ii) ( 100 x A ) / Pa
So essentially Pa = Pb + 2A
Therefore, in this instance, the pot odds for calling are:
(i) ( 100 x 153 ) / ( 2 x 153 + 374 )
which is:
(ii) ( 100 x 153 ) / ( 680 )
Hope this is of some use to those who, like me, keep forgetting the equation.
In the 108o river fold, how is the turn not a fold? I know you said that the opponent was capable of barreling, but shouldn't your decision be to either fold the turn or call turn and call river? I don't see how the turn is a call, but the riv is a fold.
Thanks,
Dan
I was thinking about the 95s hand on the KJ4 board (minute 11:50)... Don't you think a check-raise, to about 180, would be a good play here?
Our opponent has been open raising hands very wide and cbetting all flops, and until now we have been playing somewhat passively. I think we would get a lot of credit with our raise, and our opponent could only continue with a K, a J, or a straight draw, thus folding most of his range. We can even barrel the turn if we catch a diamond. If we don't, I would give up on the hand. Don't you think this play has better expectation that folding?

Attica, I went into a little depth about the 10x hand in the video, but it was based off a few things. 1) He is a reg, So he is smart enough to know that when he bets that river i'm getting great odds. 2) The river paired and with my range really looking like 10x here, his bet looks even more value orientated. Vs a recreational, I snap call. Just a little meta game between regs.
Beast, I think that a xr here is fine, but I think that since we just 3bet him, we might not get as much credit, Without gameflow, I think that the xr would be a good play

Hey,
Thank you for the comment. I do have the calculations on the part 3/4 of this series!
Also, thank you for adding the info up above!
