Used to be a winning 22-33$ HUSNG recreational player back in 2010.
It seems that knowledge advanced a great deal since 2010, especially preflop play and especially for shallow stacks.
1) What are the tools that i can use to get EV calculated for each hand against my perceived opponent shoving/calling range for shallow stacks? Can I use those tools during the game?
2) Which video pack would be the best start for me?
3) Is Will Tipton book recommended?
Thanks.
OK. I found out that Icmizer does ev calculations for push/fold. Is there anything that is quick and I can use during games (icmizer seems to be banned for stars)?
You won't be able to use any EV calculation tools while playing in game.
For HUSNG specific tools, nothing beats Coffeecalcs.
Software wise, picking up the CoffeeHUD for HUSNGs and working on Will Tipton's books as well as Lotte Lenya's new HUSNG pack, would be most helpful for you.
So a complete package of some of the best material would be CoffeeCalcs, CoffeeHUD, Tipton's books + Lotte Lenya's Video Pack.
Long term, getting into simple postflop, Coffeeyay's GTO pack and the two Tipton companion video packs would be ideal too.
Good luck on the way back!
Thanks for the reply.
I'm going through Will Tipton's book and Mersenneary's guide.
Sorry guys i was curios about this Simple Post Flop. It s a post flop solving software? It s different from Coffecalcs? Thank you for tue answers guys!
It's different as it calculates GTO (game theory optimal) solutions based on a set of assumptions.
So it's not perfect (no software is currently) for replicating in game play, but it's pretty darn good for that.
I would recommend at least reading Tipton's books, if not buying Coffeeyay's GTO video pack first before just buying SPF on your own, unless you're a high level player willing to put a good deal of time into the software.
