how bad is this?

i have a tight-passive image up to this point and thought this was a good spot on the flop to check/raise with air.villain has c-bet 100% up to this point.i'm obviously giving up on the turn but then the river looked like a gr8 spot to push him off a pocket pair.idk? just bad timing on my part or is this whole hand horrible? No Limit Holdem Tournament • 2 Players$50.00+$2.50 Hand converted by the official HUSNG.com hand converter BBHero1530  SBmad54dog541470  Effective Stacks: 74bb Blinds 10/20 Pre-Flop (30, 2 players) Hero is BB mad54dog54 raises to 40, Hero calls 20 Flop (80, 2 players) Hero checks, mad54dog54 bets 60, Hero raises to 210, mad54dog54 calls 150 Turn (500, 2 players) Hero checks, mad54dog54 checks River (500, 2 players) Hero bets 350, mad54dog54 goes all-in 1220, Hero folds Final Pot: 2070 mad54dog54 wins 2070 ( won +600 ) Hero lost -600

the more i look at this hand,

the more i look at this hand, the more i realize he can only have the 9 and its obvious before i bet the river.he certainly would have bet the turn with an over pair and i highly doubt he is calling the flop raise with PP under the 9.go ahead and say it... i suck! lol

If your image is Tight

If your image is Tight passive this line looks fine, but i'd lead turn if you want to push him off  a PP because at least from my experience, even with a tight passive image i think most ppl are cabeable of calling on the flop with a PP  but are folding to a turn lead.

i considered betting turn but

i considered betting turn but thought if he has the 9 or an over pair then i was getting called. so went back in my shell and gave up.the 7 just didn't look like a good card to barrel again. idk, i just didn't want to bloat the pot on the turn when i figured i had no fold equity. definitely would have bet turn if T,J,Q,K,A hit the turn (i think).

He can certainly have a

He can certainly have a pocket pair, 9 or an ace going into the river.  Once he shoves, I agree, a 9 looks very likely.  But you shouldn't be betting the river here against most opponents.I don't like trying to push people off of pocket pairs here either, in reality they just don't fold them often enough.Flop raise can be fine as can your reasoning (generally speaking).  It doesn't really matter that you don't rep much, if anything on the check raise (vs most opponents), at least that's the short answer.

Keep betting the turn imo,

Keep betting the turn imo, you've picked up a gutshot and have plenty of FE with a bet so just bet it. The river is a really bad card to try and rep and you're getting called so much once you check the turn. The board has double paired which means a lot of guys are going into station mode and you've taken a pretty bullshitty line which is only going to increase villain's likelihood of calling.
