This guy played every single hand preflop, often minraising in or out of position. I was mostly limping but he had called even when I raised 3x. He bet 100% of flops up until this point in the match even when I was the preflop raiser. This was hand number 20. Usually he would min bet the flop and then give up or minbet the turn as well and then 1/2 pot the river. I had seen him do that as a bluff once before. The hands that I saw him minbet the flop were T9 on a J7x board, 77 on a Q43 (where he minreraised me pre) and AQ on a 723 board (this is the one where he also Mbet the 7 turn and then 1/2 pot the K river when called). All of these hands have some type of equity where they can either improve or might even be good already. He had pot bet the flop a few times as well but I hadn't seen what he had yet.Is there any merit in maybe floating or putting in a raise in either of these hands? (I bluff min raised him a few hands after the first hand that I posted in the match at 25/50 on a AJ7 rainbow board where he led out for pot and he folded). The second hand in particular I thought check minraising might be a very good option since he raised about 75% plus hands on the button, so I can't imagine him hitting that board at all unless he has like J4o or something.I beat him in the end by just being patient and having some type of equity but it felt like he was heavily exploitable. Would be nice to see the stack sizes (am i missing something?)First hand is fine - if he's doing this as often as you say and you haven't played back before i prefer a call on the flop and bet/raise the turn because that's a pretty standard line holding a Q or 7.2nd hand... it's just not worth playing back with blinds that big with a hand that trashy. You just need to be patient and wait for your spots (as you did). You say his style was highly exploitable (not sue which way round you mean this), but given you won the match (without majorly sucking out?) it's clear that it's very high risk and he's potentially putting himself into a lot of bad spots. It's important vs these types of players to consider action on later streets because in some cases your going to flop marginal hands and call a hefty flop bet only to be pushed off later in the hand. Patience and having the confidence to go with your reads and call down when ahead is the key :)
