Hello I wanted to ask what is the best strat to play these tourneys? If you don't know the structure here it is:1) You start with 1000 chips, starting blinds 50/100 with 20 chip antie, blinds go up every 2 minutes, buy in 10$+0.2$2) You start with 1000 chips, starting blinds 50/100 no anties, blinds go up every 2 minutes, buy in 5$+0.1$Up untill now I've been using push fold strat using nash chart and I was wondering if this is the best strat for this type of HU tourney structure or maby you would advise me to use some sort of dif strat?
I don't think there is much profit in these tourneys with 10bb AND ante from the start! Variance must be insane.
Best Strat is to not play this games.I remember on this site a thread about when Merge introduced superturbos with 15BB. All Superturbo Specialists agreed that there is the need to change the structure. Games under 25BB seem to have just one winner - the owner of the poker site.Although rake is really low so maybe I am wrong
I think you are doing it right using the Nash strategy...like above mentioned the variance for the hyper and ST's are sick so make sure you have 100+ buy-ins. Good Luck at the tables.
yeh the only reason I try playing these tourneys is because of the low rate and I just wanted to find out if I was playing right giving the conditions at these tourneys :)
It's still 2% rake isn't it?I'd much rather play for 2-3% rake rates and play the 25bb versions.These 10bb games don't sound too beatable, if at all. When did Stars add these and at what buyin levels?
I don't know when did they add these but as far as I know there are only 2 toyrneys goind on at 6:45 and 7:30 EET
I think they have been on there since the HT came out (the old structure.) I think he is just talking about the HUMTT hyper version.When the hyper structures changed to 25bb these hyper HUMTT's stayed the same. Pokerstars Steve has passed on a requst to get this changed though (via the superturbo thread on 2+2)
