Hello everyone,i was browsing this site and found ICMIZER. I always have been using nash/chubikov for calling shortstacked, and adjusted alittle with instinct when calling. Now i have been using to calculate some ranges to call when facing an openshove. So for this example uses a nash shove range for 8BB deep (which is around 58%) and we are in the BB with 8BBs. As you can see from the image ICMIZER shows the following results for calling. The results are somewhat surprising to me, hands at the top of the folding range J8s and K4o were hands i would definitely call. Am i using this correct, i hope someone can take a quick look at this.
Why do you calculate with 8bb when you actually do have 10bb? Anyways. When I click "assign NASH ranges" he asigns 58% and calling the open shove of SB does have an positive EV of 4.7 chips. However, that is not what you need to know. You need to know how to work with the ICMIZER and in order to find out the results for J8s you select this particular hand click on the "hand EV chart" button and you will see a graph that shows you for THE HAND YOU CHOSE at what open shoveing range of your opponent it becomes +EV to call or not. In order to do that you do not need to asign a range to your opponent. You can give him the default range (8% or something like that) and click on the hand ev chart button anyways.Last but not least: you do not need ICMIZER if you are gonna work with NASH ranges......the idea behind useing ICMIZER is to have a tool that you can modify in more detail then one could modify SNG Wizard (fixed ranges) for example
Hi.
Ok thanks, i made a mistake with the starting chip stack. Somehow i thought 4x80 was 400.
Barrin is pretty much right about everything here. So I cannot even add much I think. I am here to answer your questions though so don't hesitate to ask more of them.
