Is this lead alright? What about calling of the push? I was so deep into the hand on the shove that I pretty much had to call. I had him on Ax with a strong heart but he was calling very wide most of the match. Now how would this change if this was a rainbow flop? Thanks

haha this is a great hand. i'm sitting here for like 45 minutes already and typed 3 different replies only to delete em. now you finally got me really working with combos and the math of beeing comitted and stuff.
also the question about the rainbow flop is a good one.
i highly suggest that you also analyze this hand in as much depth as you can because this is an exellent example, because it's still solveable, even if your no pro at that stuff. just a nice challenge if you've been to lazy to really do it yet. like me -.-
having said that i'm not going to look at any replies before i feel i solved this on my own.
I think I would made the same play here, but this spots really tilts me.
I have pocket pair, I 3bet and he only flats, the pot little less than eff stacks, and one overcard hit, I go for stacks and he hit that overcard, really frustrating spot...
A little cure for it not so optimal is to comit to the pot, to raise to 550 or smth like that, non-allin--allin, as he makes a huge mistake if hi miss and fold after pay that.
Flating preflop and 3bet commit loses value.
I'd really like to hear other thoughts about it!
If you check to your opponent I don't think that he will tend to check back most hands that you really have crushed. The stack sizes are nice for a CRAI, but with how the hand will actually tend to play out I think bet/call is better.
I would bet call if off, most of the time either you will have the best draw or the best hand, because the pot is so big you have felt it. In this case unforunately he had the J and Kh for bigger flush draw which sucks. But big part of his range is Jx or Khx, Ahx which you have decent equity given pot odds. This kind of player could show up with any 2 broadway cards expect AK or AQ which they would shove pre
I would play it as you did.
You have a heart and the only hand that beats you is Jx.
